Dark and Smooth
I am using from 10 days in my lammy vista EF nib pen. It is smooth, very dark and have good quality. The only one problem is I think you need to wash your pen after 10 days.

A very well behaved black with hints of fun
Lets get issues/problems out first Ink is permanent by nature and is pigment based means that it will require one to clean pen often and avoid getting pen clogged. The square bottle has some issues with large nib pens when ink reaches bottom as it lacks a space for nibs, unliked iroshizuku bottles which have space for nibs. (Its not a major issue by any means though) Now to good parts Ink is very dark in nature and flows extremely well in any pen. Wet ink by nature. The dark colour also has a little silver shine in places when viewed at certain angles, although one would need less absorbent paper to see this clearly (tomoe river, jk cedar, etc), a wider nib say medium or broad is also better to see this, that said I see it with jowo fine nibs too. This is reason for fun, its completely professional dark black ink but hints fun in its own way. The ink is permanent, water, vinegar, medicated alcohol was tested and nothing happened. Quick to dry. Can run on almost every paper without bleeding or feathering, its much better behaved then any inks I own apart from R&K sallix but sallix has issues that this does not and sallix is blue black so kiwaguro beats it nicely. Conclusion If one is looking for a permanent black in for fountain pen, I highly recommend this one, the only other competitor being platinum carbon black in my personal opinion. I find sailor to have better behaviour over bad papers so it has edge in that regard.

Superb, well behaved waterproof ink
Comparisons to Platinum's Carbon Black are inevitable, so let me just get this out of the way: both are excellent inks, and you can't go wrong with either if you're looking for a dark, waterproof pigmented black ink. What I have noticed is that Carbon ink is a little wetter, smoother, and more viscious; this Kiwa Guro is the driest ink I've ever used, including the Pelikan 4001 range. But that is not a knock on this ink. It's a good kind of dry- the kind you want to tame gushing, wet writers and tease a finer line out of a broader nib. It's very, very black, and is supposed to have a graphite- like sheen to it in a certain light, but I haven't observed that yet. I will say this: of all the inks I have ever used, Kiwa Guro is the best behaved, even on cheaper paper. Even better than Pilot Iroshizuku Take Sumi, which is gorgeous in its own right. I love this ink and will not hesitate to buy it again over Carbon black when my bottle runs empty.
