I know some people say you can go longer with synthetic but I would not. Saying that, much of it has to do with if you do a lot of stop and go city driving vs to hwy, in town driving can stress the bike more than hwy. Oil changes are cheap in the big scheme of things, you should always check your oil and alot can be told by the color and smell.
