Genuine Mazda (FE02-42-250B) Fuel Tank Cap

I waited way too long to get this. Having a new, clean cap that creates a proper seal (my old one was triggering my check engine light) was well worth the money. Highly recommend.Also, it really does seem to be an OEM part – the packaging had Mazda branding.

Awesome!!! My check engine light was on and it scared me a lot!! I didn’t know what to do so I went to a local car store and they plunged in a diagnostic thing that said my gas cap, so we tinkered with it for a bit but no luck, he shows me what his store had but not ‘genuine ‘ only wannabes, I went to my favorite web site AMAZON ta da!!! There it was and very reliable!! I ordered it and two days later it was here, my light went off and my mileage is really awesome!!! I can't bring myself to rate a Mazda Gas Cap with 5 stars, but this one does seem a bit more sturdy than the two I've thrown in the trash on my 2013 MX-5 and my CEL has shut off....fingers crossed this one last longer than a year.10-22-2017 and this cap is ready for the trash bin. Will order a Stant cap now I think.

Just as advertised. This fuel cap was easy to install and fit perfectly.

Took to long to receive item, shows up in a stapled plastic bag with a Mazda sticker on it. Didn't have a Genuine Mazda logo or lettering on it and it was the wrong size.

My 2007 Miata had a check engine light showing vacuum leak there were three possibilities this was the first and cheapest solution to try and it cleared my check engine light. The original gas cap looked perfectly fine did not think this would solve the problem but I was pleasantly surprised when the engine light cleared.

More importantly, I bought an Autel ms309 OBDII code reader from Amazon for about $25 and now can determine "engine problem issues" in about 30 seconds. This should be standard equipment when buying a car. I no longer pay $150 for a diagnostic.

I had such high hopes for this fuel tank cap, as amazon listed it as compatible with my 2010 MX-5 NC. As it turns out, it did not fit at all, with a totally different thread pattern as compared to the original. It would not even sit in the fuel tank receptacle. Sadly, this cap had to be returned.

I recived the item today but i am not sure if my check engine go away but for now i give 5 star

Purchased for my Mazda CX-7 2009. Check engine came on so I figured I would try this first. Perfect original replacement.So far the check engine light is still on. Hopefully it will go away.UPDATE: October 6, 2020 less than a year, this original gas cap won’t seal. Check engine light came back on. Really not impressed. Dropped from 5 star to 3 stars. Hoping Amazon can make it right.UPDATE: check engine went away after manually removing it only. Has not come back so all is well. If it were not fixed it would return after 3rd restart. So far great!I do recommend this replacement though.
