Light, reasonably stable but ...
First, the warning is "Never stand or climb closer than 3 feet from the top wrung". Following that, you have about half of the stated height. Second, when not extended the steps do not lock, so if you do not extend all the way to carry around they slide out making it very clumsy if not dangerous.Other than that, it is light, rather stable for decent reach but do not try to carry something very heavy while on it.

Not what I thought at all
Let me start by saying it is very flimsy and I don't feel secure using it, I contacted the manufacturer regarding this when I purchased it and they said it was normal, the reach you get is not long enough for this to be so flimsy, also it's easy to pull out but hard to pull it back in.

Trades some rigidity for storage space.
Purchased this ladder for indoor use and needed it to store in a small space. It certainly does that. The ladder is about 2" narrower than a typical stepladder, so you have to be more careful than usual not to shift the load too far to one side or the other. Also, the telescopic nature of the legs gives them a little bit of "play", so the ladder can feel unstable, especially when standing on the lower rungs. Fear not though, it is actually quite strong and will only flex slightly under load. The extra rung at the top is especially useful when you need all of the height of the ladder. Extending the unit is simplicity itself. Just put one foot on the bottom rungs and pull the rest up until they lock. Getting it folded back down requires a careful deactivation of the 4 latches at each level without getting your fingers into a place where the rungs can fall on them. I found that deactivating 3 of the latches, then holding the rung-to-be-retracted with one hand while deactivating the 4th latch with the other works best. I suggest lowering the rungs deliberately rather than just letting them drop because the latch mechanisms are plastic and I don't want to shock them too badly. Overall it is a good ladder that I expect to use for many years.
