Dakota Hearts (Boxed Set Books 1-5): Small Town Contemporary Western Romance

This is a good box set and the storylines are good if a little predictable. I would say I enjoyed them. Nice light reading. The only thing I found annoying (and I admit this may not apply to every reader) is the poor editing. Slip ups such as being told that Poppy 'got out of bed' and was reaching into the closet but then in the next paragraph she 'bolted out of bed'. There is also a lot of repetition of the same words, for example, within two short paragraphs 'they walked to the Quonset hut' then 'the door closed to the Quonset hut' and then men were 'filing in toward the Quonset hut'. It only needed mentioning once. There are also quite a few not-so-natural conversations where too much detail makes things stilted. There is a building called the Wounded Veterans Center which is always referred to in full and which makes it heavy going. In natural conversation, once mentioned, it could become 'the Center' or the WVC or just the Veterans Center. There are lots of examples like this. These are small points but as an experienced editor I would suggest to the author the same tip that was recommended to me when I was starting out: read the copy out loud to yourself. You will notice any 'hiccups' right away and be able to correct them before they go for first edits. But having said all of that, a nice set of stories about a lovely family.

Have never read this author before she is brilliant have really enjoyed the stories.Would certainly buy more of her books.

A feel good book with twists and turns of love life and all the twist and turns, a book I would recommend

These books are a good read. Each book is about a particular brother and their journeys to find their women of their dreams.

Excellent story with lots of unbelievable situations and funny incidents. Well described of the family members. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
