RemoTall Drum, inch (BH0014A1)

OK, I know: percussion purists will undoubtedly balk at my opinion, but I found these gypsy red Remo Bahia Bass drums to be just what every drum circle needs! While nobody will argue that djuns are the ideal for marking the pulse, thiese custom techno developed drums by Remo fill in nicely. They can even carry the drum circle's bass beat if your djun player doesn't show up, or if you're hauling gear to the beach or a campground. Lightweight, portable, and with their own rubber feet to stand upon, these are affordable and durable. I play mine with a surdo mallet in one hand, and use my other hand to dampen the sound, to produce a contrasting slap, or even to play the counter note with a djun stick. Lots of possibilities with these little champs. Stay in tune, impervious to cold and rainy weather, easy to tote, and with big sound, I happily discovered what a great investment these are.

The Remo BAhia Bass Drums are Remo's latest effort at Djun Djun or Brazilian Surdo Drums that can withstand outdoor elements such as humidity. I live in Florida and I use these drum at the Siesta Key Drum Circle and THEY NEVER GO OUT OF TUNE!
