“mini” is probably NOT your size!
Very small. Tiny! Personally, I have very narrow ear canals. Furthermore, I have slight swelling from a daith piercing, which also narrows my ear holes. For me, these “minis” are perfect. I am so pleased. I bought multiple pairs. (However, from the other reviews, I see that it is extremely rare that a person would need minis. Almost everyone needs a larger size. Please check before you buy! YMMV.) Easy to use: insert and go. Durable. Easily cleaned with warm water and detergent. Not comfortable for me to sleep in, but comfy enough during the day: walking, driving, working. Downside is I can’t simultaneously use my earpods. So had to switch to over-the-ear 1970s style headphones! VFM. Definitely! Although at first they were an expensive punt, now I am sure they work I am addicted. I wouldn’t be without them in noisy, public places. I keep a spare pair in my bag for travelling by public transport. At first, they don’t seem to be doing anything. But after a few hours, when I take them out, I am surprised at how different the soundscape is. Suddenly when removed, high pitched rustles in the environment are very obvious and horribly grating. Such a strange experience!

Makes my tinnitus louder
I don’t feel that there is any difference in sounds, sounds the same. But they do make my tinnitus unbearably loud, like they’ve turned the volume right up. I bought the mini ones as usually ear plugs and earphones are too big for my ear canals and hurt. These are tiny and almost disappeared down my ears, maybe they are too small. Overall disappointed, waste of £20

Subtle sound correction and comfort
I first tried them out when at a festival. Considering I was in front of the sound desk all day working then I found that at the end of the day I was pleasantly satisfied that the buds had done a good job of staving off any end of the day ringing in the ears. I found that the first time is used them the high end that causes me so much issue was instantly dampened. I have so far not had any issues with the quality of the sound softening when in conversations or at work / around music. Unlike my other £20 ear defending buds that cut so much of the sound signal that you feel separate form the environment these feel very natural in their noise attenuation. I am a layman with my terminologies towards sound but I know what I have experienced and these are proving to be a great investment! The one reason I marked the value for money down was and is because, The fit has often left both buds loose in my ear canal and unless I keep checking in on them then I do foresee that any kind of over active endeavour (I am an active person) means that I will lose one fo both of these buds from falling out of my ears. And, I think that the small size is the right size for my ears. I would love for them to have a corded or even slightly more active fit option. I foresee me having to buy another pair before the year is out. Perhaps there is an option of cheaper replacements for those of us who have purchased before? I look forwards to trying the sleep buds at some point too. These are a great anxiety reducing tool within my newly forming kit and I do enjoy there sense of feeling calmer by making an informed choice in improving my sensory experience - such as my hearing. Good work Calmer. Peace.

Amazing de-stress..Updated review!
I ordered these to try as I knew I was about to work a day in an environment I normally find highly stressful and noisy; a busy public place. I really didn't know what to expect from the Flare Calmers, but thought I'd try them and got the mini size as I have small ears and most ear phones are too big. So, I put them in in the morning, having practiced with the right way to insert them, and the whole day was so much easier. I didnt realise what a difference it made to the sounds around me until I realised how relaxed I was instead of my normal stressed self when there. I loved them. BUT....I wore them on the trip home and one fell out. They were so comfortable I didn't notice one had gone, so now I am bereft of an earplug. *Updated a few days later* So, I contacted Flare and they have been amazing regarding the lost one and discussing what might suit my ear shape better. It's not the first time I've bought from Flare, as I've had their earphones and their earplugs before (also excellent) and they always go the extra mile to help and advise. Love this company!

Mini but still too large for me.
Sadly not too impressed with the Flare Calmer Mini. Main problem is even though they are mini, they're still too big for my ears. They just constantly fall out no matter how I put them in. I went to a gig last night and I noticed no difference to the sound quality or background noise at all. I still couldn't hear a word that was said to me directly. As they were always on the brink of falling out it didn't make for a comfortable night due to constantly adjusting them and worrying about losing them. Happy they work for other folk but disappointed they are of no use to me.

Didn’t work unfirntunitly
I have tried both these and loops for noise sensitivity and sensory overload. Unfortunitly there did not make any noticeable differance at all. I have tried multiple times in different environments over the last month but havnt noticed a difference in sound or blocking background noises and frequencies. unfortunitly didn’t do the purpose I tried them for.

Amazing!
I have menieres disease which severely affects the way my ears process sound. I struggle with any situation where there are lots of different noises and sounds all at once. These plugs have literally been a god send! They completely drown out background noise and help focus on conversations clearly. They fit comfortably in the ear without any discomfort ( i baught the mini size ) and are barely noticeable at all due to buying the clear colour. I am now able to live more freely without worrying about social situations causing a flare up and making me ill.
