Works great on handbags
I dyed the vachetta leather on an LV handbag and wanted to make sure that the dye would not transfer onto my clothing. I applied three thin coats, letting each one dry completely before adding the next coat. Upon completion, the leather took on a light sheen, but remained pliable. Most importantly, I could use the bag without dye transferring onto my clothes. I live in a year round warm and humid region and even under these conditions, the resolene prevented dye from the shoulder strap and bag from ruining my clothing. I would highly recommend this product anytime you work with dye.

Black version review over dyed shoes (pluses & minuses) - suede
I ignored all the research I did re: suede (you can see other ignored directions in my review for the "original CatHole").This is my experience:I used suede dye on a pair of top quality Italian made *purple* pumps (only $64 for new!). The stitching did not take the dye completely. Dye xfer too. Used the black version of Resolene over the the dye job. Stitching now black. HOWEVER, I wish I used this full strength in *only* the stitching areas and diluted 1/2 with water for the rest. Overall, the suede texture is a "gone-er" but it's not patent-y either (it's an *interesting* surface - I'm pretty happy overall)If I did this again (probably will), I'd not use a wool dauber near the edges - I'd use the same teeny eyeshadow brush I used when dying near the edges.Bottom line: very impressed at the lack of dye Xfer after use & making the thread black.

Seals leather well
I ordered this to help bring my projects to true gloss black and seal them from the elements. I applied 2 coats of black dye first and then 2 thin coats of Resolene. It was easy to apply and absorbed quickly. After I let it dry I buffed it to a nice gloss finish. Use in a well ventilated area though as per the directions state as it does have a strong odor. I have 2 summers on the pieces I made and they have stood up very well to the sun and the rain. I apply leather conditioner once or twice a year to the pieces to help keep them protected. They still look brand new! Great product.

Fixes Mercedes Leather
I bought this for use on the leather seats of a '90s Mercedes. Before I used this product, the coating on the leather was coming off, and whenever that spot got wet, dye would come off too (so it ruined clothes!).I sanded the leather lightly with about 200-500 grit, then 1100. I put a nice coat of this stuff on, spread it around, and once it dried, it was phenomenal. It filled in all of the cracks and fixed the dye issue. The seat looks better than new, but make sure you blend this with the surroundings smoothly, as it can make streaks that are not very nice. (I used a foam Meguiar's applicator pad).

Awesome finish!
Dyed a tan leather holster to black. Used the 3 step process of fiebings products... deglazer(stripper), dye, and resolene(sealer). Holster looks like it came black from the factory. Love this stuff. Watch a couple videos on YouTube on how to apply/use if your not sure or have never done it before. Only complaint is that the deglazer had leaked at some point during shipping. That's why the label is patchy in the pic. Some of the label was stuck to the bag that it came in. I used a clean white rag to apply the deglazer and went over it twice. Then applied the dye with the dobber provided. Finally used the wife's makeup remover pad things to apply the resolene. I put a small travel fan on the holster over night while I slept. Dye was dry and I Wore my ccw like I always do. Noticed dye didn't bleed into my tucked in shirt but did leave a small black mark on the inside of the jeans.
