Irritrol 2400S Slip Globe Valve, 1"

I had a sprinkler zone that wouldn’t shut off. I dug around the old one, disassembled the guts from the housing. Bought this unit and assembled the working parts to the old housing. Had my doubts but worked perfectly on the first try. With 90 degree weather coming & no companies allowed to come to houses in Michigan because of COVID-19, it was necessary. The unit seems very robust & is easy to install.

It was a perfect replacement. It stopped my valve leakage...

Product as described, parts fit and works with no problem. I used all parts to replaced my old one.

I have 6 of these valves in my Sprinkler system that are 18+ years old and only now are the diaphragms starting to fail.Whats nice is that they have not changed the valve since. I found that rather then buy just the Diaphragm I just purchased the entire Valve for just a few bucks more. Then just screw off the entire head and replace it with the new one.. It takes longer to dig up the valve then to change the head and connect 2 wires to the solenoid. After 18 years the solenoid can't last much longer why take a chance.Wish all companies would build and perfect their products like this one rather then introduce new ones every year that fail.

Normally I would’ve referred my customer to a sprinkler company but, I find this by luck and managed to make the repair and my neighbor is super happy.
