Great series that is worth 5.5 stars but why is this dvd not avaliable in Canada?
If you picked up this dvd and discovered that its the original release dvd from the first season that's because it is this is a re-issue of Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends season 1 dvd its also a copycat of Steven Spielberg Presents dvd line but its titled as Cartoon Network Presents dvd line there is other shows under the Cartoon Network Presents dvd line and its not in Walmart Stores in Canada as previously advertised on YouTube if you watched this YouTube video shown by a FutureGohanSSJ2 he showed that these dvd are available to buy at Walmart and that's true in the U.S.A but not in Canada oh one other thing he did point out that pamphlet that comes with this dvd show other dvd's that can not get in stores both in the U.S.A and in CANADA my guess is Cartoon Network just doesn't want Canadians or Americans to own these dvd 's well that's the negative side and where the finger should be pointed at ? but at Cartoon Network & Warner Bros well that the negative side. On to the positive side of this review Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends is a great series its created by Craig McCracken & his wife Lauren Faust they did a great job on this series it received seven Emmy awards as it should but I think it should have gotten seven more. The series is about a eight year old boy named Mac and his best imaginary friend Blooregard Q. Kazoo now Mac's Mom tells Mac that he too old keep an imaginary friend so what to do what to do ? well enter Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends its a large residence that's run and found by Madame Foster her Granddaughter Frankie and the residence keeper Mr. Herriman whose too strict about the rules the other imaginary friends include Eduardo, Wilt, and Coco one of my favorite episodes is store wars in which the gang goes to the mall to buy some party things but run into all sorts of trouble imagine the idea of been able to interact with your imaginary friends and that's what this series is about where Mac and his imaginary friends can live and play all day and learn valuable lesions. As for the series review I give Foster's Home For Imaginary a 5.5 Stars as for this re-issue dvd release come on Cartoon Network you can do better job of re-releasing these dvd's like changing the back of the pamphlet or the art work of the dvd instead of this slip cover with the original art work and the original pamphlet. Now if you live in Canada or in the U.S.A you can get this dvd and the other dvd's that is mentioned in the YouTube video at amazon.com The catch is the Power Puff Girls Season 1 Dvd doesn't have the 2019 dvd slip cover no for that dvd you have to live in U.S and get it at ebay.com

Best Cartoon Series of This Age!
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends is everything that cartoons were originally meant to be! The series is wonderfully silly escape from reality that takes the viewer into an incredible fantasy reality where children's imaginary friends become very real beings that are seen, heard, and loved by the child's family...that is, until the child grows up and severs their relationship with their imaginary friend as part of the process of growing up.Enter Madam Foster! This delightfully spirited, young-at-heart grandmother decides that she is never too old to have her imaginary friend and continues her relationship wi8th her imaginary friend right on through until she's old and grey. That decision leads this kid-hearted lady to open her home to any and all imaginary friends that have been abandoned by their creaters, and helps them find a new home with a family who's child does not have a friend of their own. Thus, this smash hit cartoon starts its hilarious ride with another young man whom, like Madam Foster, does not want to sever his relationship with his imaginary friend, but is told that his imaginary friend can no longer stay at home with him, his mean older brother, and his hard-working mom. In his search to find a way to keep his imaginary friend, Bloo, in his life, they stumble upon Madam Foster's home and think think that its a great idea that Bloo stays there until Mac can figure things out. The only bad news is that Foster's Home is just that - a foster home where Bloo will be put up for adoption like all the other friends there. That is, until Madam Foster, herself, finds out that Mac possesses the very same love and affection for Bloo that she has for her imaginary friend. So, she makes a special agreement with Mac that stipulates that Mac has to come and visit Bloo every day. As long as he does that, his beloved friend, Bloo, will never be put up for adoption. This series is insanely funny and imaginative - just as the title suggests! The DVD itself arrived in pristine condition and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the product. Get yourself a copy of this super funny cartoon series from this seller and sit back and enjoy the ride! It's well worth it!

Fantastic entertainment for kids of ALL ages
"Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" is a completely inspired, sompletely original show that'll drag in kids of ALL ages- from 2-102!From the man who brought us "The Powerpuff Girls" and "Dexter's Laboratory" comes the colorful and at times even artistic world of "Fosters" "Fosers" is a foster home for Imaginary friends that were created by children, but the children that created tham have grown up and no longer need their friends. Foster's takes in these friends (and creativity abounds) and gives them a chance to be adopted by children who need a friend. The DVD takes you through the entire first season where you'll meet Bloo and his kid Mac and they're introduction to Foster's.The show has something for EVERYONE! Unlike many shows out there with overtly dirty and potty themed jokes, Foster's, for the most part, keeps it clean, so there's no fear of your four year old picking up something derranged! There are at times some jokes that will make an adult snicker and fly over the head of younger viewers- but even those are VERY tame. With tons of shows nowadays full of violence, Poop humor, and Anime "inspired" it's refteshing to see something as simple and fun as "Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends" To top it off, the shows teach morals and Values, which is hard to find nowadays- especially in a show that is loved by children and adults.Even though it is the ENTIRE first seasn, it's sad to see the DVD's end, and it seems unfair that it's over!

Foster, un must !

It's been far, far too long coming, as far as I'm concerned. I've been trying to get this DVD on region 2 for ages, but love this series so much I bought a multi-region DVD player just so I could add this excellent cartoon to my ever-expanding collection. In case you don't know anything about this cartoon, it centres around Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, (strangely enough), which is a home for no longer wanted 'imagined' friends when their child creators either outgrow the need for an imaginary friend, or they just don't want them any more.OK so far? Right. The home is run by Madame Foster and her imaginary friend Mr Herriman, a giant rabbit. Their job is to try to get these now unwanted imaginary friends adopted by other children.Other central characters are Mac, a little boy that was forced to give up his imaginary friend Bloo, (short for Blooregard Q Kazoo - You are keeping up, aren't you, - I'm going to ask questions in a minute.....), who is a blue, er, ...thing. Eduardo, a gentle giant scared of his own shadow, Wilt, the tallest imaginary friend that anyone could ever think of, and Coco, a cross between a palm tree, aeroplane and a bird, apparently. Don't forget Frankie either, a real live girl employed by Foster's to clean, cook and generally run around after everyone else.By now, the above should be making perfect sense, otherwise you just haven't been paying proper attention. If it still doesn't make sense, fear not. All will become clear after you have watched the 'House Of Bloo's' trilogy which make up the first three episodes on the first disc. Once you have watched these, and the characters have found their places in your heart, I'm sure that you will warm to this series as I have. I have just purchased series 2 also, and believe me, it just gets better and better and better. It pains me to admit to this, but this series has just knocked Spongebob Squarepants off my top spot, and this is no mean feat!!!!!I thoroughly recommend this excellent two-disc set, even if you haven't got kids.2 DVD's NTSC Format Episodes:House Of Bloo's Pt 1/2/3 : Busted : Dinner Is swerved : Adoptcalypse Now : Store Wars : Bloooo : The Trouble With Scribbles : Seeing Red : Phone Home : World Wide Wabbit : Berry Scary : Who Let The Dogs In?See also Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends Series 2Stephen Wright (Age fifty three and a half)
