For years we have been running power pro on large spinning and casting reels for alligator hunting. This stuff is no joke, the resistance to abrasion is second to none. Recently I place spiderwire on a small reel (quantum smoke 30) and had tons off issues with windknots. This weekend I went back to tried and true running 15lb power pro.

I used power pro 20# on a new baitcaster rod & reel and it just kept breaking right in the middle of a cast. I lost 3 lures using the line. I have been fishing for over 50 years and have never seen anything like this before.

I use power pro on every set up practically. But I might be changing to something else, since I have lost multiple fish and lures today on my two day old line. Each time it broke it was 3-6 feet up from my knot.
