Claymore 11: Kindred of Paradise: Volume 11

The anime and beyond
Eleventh volume in the manga series Claymore, a story of women with special powers who fight monsters in a fantasy world setting. This is not a good jumping on point though if you've not read previous volumes. But if you have seen the anime version [since the only people likely to read this are those who will know what those terms mean there's no need to explain them] then this is an ideal jumping on point.Because the story in here comes in right in the middle of the anime volume three. But whereas that was brought to a point where the story concluded, but was also left open for any further animes, the manga is different. Because what you will recall from the anime volume three is identical at first to what happens here, but then the story goes off in a different direction. Thus if you watched the anime and want to know what happened next, this is the volume to read first. It runs for one hundred and eighty nine A5 sized pages of black and white artwork. As with all manga you read from right to left rather than what europeans would be accustomed to. But there is a note in the book to explain that if you're not familiar. It is divided into six scenes [or chapters, as you will] and the first four are all action, whilst the next two set up some interesting new plot developments. If you've liked what came in the manga before then this is another good chapter in an excellent story. And if you've jumped on board following the anime, then this should hook you and leave you eager to find what happens next. So either way, it's a good read.

Massacre
This eleventh volume of the Claymore manga sees the battle for Pieta come to its bloody conclusion with Clare facing off against Rigaldo the Lion and is forced to take drastic measures to protect her friends. Meanwhile the Organisation is already cutting its losses and preparing a new generation of Claymores as well as a secret weapon to use against the Creatures of the Abyss. As well as this Isley of the North reveals his true intentions. This eleventh volume of Claymore is just as good as ever with some truly brilliant battles and some nice twists to the plot. The artwork remains good, although the character design is still a bit samey. This is also where the anime and manga storylines diverge and the manga one is easily the better story.

Awesome change in the story compared to the anime
Hi due to the release date of the manga I watched the anime first (am very happy to see they're a.)releasing the it on DVD and b.)for a reasonable price) this volume is where major changes start from the anime, it would end with this volume if following the same story as the anime, but it doesnt it's got a bit more depth and intrigue (in my opinion) and if you enjoyed the anime u'll love this!! and as manga goes price wise its quite reasonable, i have for years and will continue to promote claymore, and while the story plot is pretty much exhausted i do hope they make a second season. a must buy for a fan, and still very gud manga for anyone generally interested!
