Brow Precise Micro

I just changed my hair color from black to copper red for the first time in twenty years, so I had to completely change my makeup to suit the look. This item goes on very precisely, and the wire brush is very hand for blending a bit of color into my eyebrows to make my hair look more matchy and natural. Whenever I use it my coworkers notice and say it looks really nice. They wouldn’t bull crap me because they are some catty minxes. The precision pencil has its advantages, but it is so fine point that you have to be careful to press ever so lightly when you use it, or it will break. I’ve probably broken as much as I’ve applied so far because I’m so ham-handed. I got it at an excellent price, so overall I’m very happy with it.

I've used Anastasia, MAC and other department store brow pencils. This one is my favorite and the blonde shade is natural looking and perfect for me. It's retractable, doesn't smear and is easy to work with and blend. I purchase this at Target or here on Amazon if it's more convenient for me. I haven't been able to find it in Target over the last year, and I notice the price has risen significantly on Amazon. That's usually a sign a product is being discontinued...hope not.

In search of a good eyebrow pencil for blondes, I’ve tried a lot, from expensive makeup counters to drugstore makeup aisles, and by far this is the best one in both color match and functionality. The ultra-thin twist-up retractable wax pencil draws very precise thin lines in the perfect shade of a very, very light taupe-ish brown, or dark taupish blonde, depending on your perspective. The brush on the opposite end does a great job combing the brows as well as softening and blending the lines drawn by the pencil, which are so thin that it’s almost unnecessary to blend them out. The only thing keeping me from giving it five stars is how quickly the pencil runs out, both because it’s not very long and because it’s a slightly soft pencil, causing its length to run down quicker than a harder pencil. I don’t wear makeup every day, so I can only estimate that if you use this pencil daily, you’d probably have to buy it every 3-4 weeks. But the quality, color, and extremely affordable price of this Maybelline Eyebrow Pencil is worth it. Once when my local drugstore ran out of this pencil, I had to quickly find a substitute and bought a different one, the Maybelline New York Eyestudio Brow Define and Fill Duo, which I can also highly recommend. The wax pencil is the same as on the Brow Precise Micro pencil in this review, but the side with the brush is replaced by a filling powder on a soft sponge applicator tip. The powder tip does a great job filling in thin spots and is the same great shade of blonde as the pencil. I love this gel brow pen. I’ve ordered it many times off Amazon. They always come in the normal package you see in the store. However this time, they came wrapped plastic and heavy duty stickers that didn’t have a perforated side. It was extremely difficult to open these pens. Now the tops are very sticky. I’m not sure where they were shipped from but I would have rather paid more and bought them from the store. I cut myself with my scissors trying to open the pens.

This is far and away the best eyebrow shaping pencil I have ever found in my entire life. My hair is natural light blonde so of course the shade I use is Blonde. It's more like a light taupe or light tan but since my eyebrows are a little darker than my hair, the shade is perfect. I have withheld two whole stars because today, after only six weeks of once-a-day applications, I twisted the pencil to expose the crayon and discovered that there's virtually none left! Luckily, I had already purchased a couple of extras because I like the color and the very fine tip so much, but I am disappointed that there is so little product for the money. Not sure if I'll be back for more when I totally run out. Phooey.

I'm a reluctant user of eyebrow pencil, but the outer halves of my eyebrows became very light as I got older, and it bugged me. After trying half a dozen different pencils & powders, this is the easiest one to use! The brush at the end is key. I can make a few strokes in the general outline I'm trying to achieve, fill in just a bit, then take the brush and stroke it downward and upward across my eyebrow to soften the lines and blend the pigment across the eyebrow area. After a little practice, it's really quick to use, and that's important to me -- I don't like to fuss! My eyebrows stay darkened until I shower. I'm not using it to create precisely outlined, very dark brows (although that seems to be the current fashion, and I think this pencil would work well for that technique also), but rather to add just a little suggestion of darker color.

I love this pen and this was my second tome buying it even though I got the wrong colour last time lol. It's very precise and natural looking. Very easy to work with and it lasts for long time.
