This works and it really does spray from yards and yards away. I found yellow jacket type wasps had built a nest behind an outside light fixture. There were dozens of them clinging to the nest at dusk and still there each morning. I ordered this and was able to spray from near my front door about 15 feet away at dusk. No stings; no more bugs. Hot Shot works.

Short review: It works amazing. Long review: This stuff is amazing for wasps. We had a few that were staying in a bush and couldn't see the nest. Sprayed this all over where they were hanging around and came back the next day. When I came back, there was only a single wasp (as opposed to the 4 or more the day before). I then took the time to spray this at that wasp and watched it fall and die soon after. Not instant, but only took about 30 seconds and the wasp could not move. Usage wise, there was a tab on these at the front that I didn't quite understand at first. After reading the bottle, I just broke the tab and it began working great. Once that was done, you just aim and spray. When spraying, I would advise you to be careful. This stuff shoots out way further than I thought. Was aiming at a bush and went through the bush onto the neighbors yard. I'd say it was about 10-15 feet. Just something to keep in mind if you plan on using this with others or animals around. Content wise, this bottle will not last long at all. Gives probably 1 minute of continuous spraying. If you have a ton of wasps, grab a couple of bottles. Aside from the above, I have kept this in my garage for a couple of weeks now and it still works flawlessly. No leaks, reduced performance, etc. Overall, well worth the price and I will be buying this again when this can wears out.

I buy a can of this every summer when the wasps start showing up. I use it to hit nests early before they grow too much, and it does a solid job. It sprays far enough to reach our second story which is great, but I’d suggest doing a test spray first so you can see how strong the spray is and how far it’ll go. It’s easy to misjudge. Also be careful where you’re aiming, what goes up comes down, and you don’t want this stuff landing on a patio, windows, or places you don’t expect. I always spray early morning or at dusk when the wasps are calmer, and then just knock the nest down the next day. You can see it working right away with wasps falling out. Overall, very effective if used right.

This spray works well, sprays about 20 feet. It is a foamy substance which is probably a good thing as its poison and you want to see where it hit. The spray id very fast, a few seconds expels about 1/3 of the can. So i have no complaints. I just wanted to reiterate an important warning. This is a bug poison, but deadly to many things. Be aware of where the spray goes, don't spray around animals, kids, water sources ,public areas ect. Wear face protection and mind your breathing. Do not get in eyes and I recommend just hold your breath when you spray it and don’t use in the wind.

Well, the spray reached more like 5 feet than 27. For me, it didn't make much of a difference. Wated 'til just after dark, shined a flashlight on the nest, looking for the hole. Got as close as I dared, about three feet and sprayed directly into the hole for several seconds. Didn't see any activity, so I continued spraying, soaking the paper nest as best I could before beating a hasty retreat. Will go back out in the morning to see what my efforts have wrought. The nest was small -- about the size of a softball -- but is partially hiddden by the branches of the ornamental bush it was in. And fortunately, it was only about four feet off the ground, so I had easy access. I'll update this review after I see the results.

This product is advertised to spray 27 feet, but it only sprays about 6 feet. The poison in this product is completely useless to kill wasps or hornets. After 5 applications, the bugs were still not dead. This is the WORST insect killer I've ever used. The WORST of the WORST. Do NOT NOT NOT buy this product!
