An excellent soup book.
I have several cook books in this series by Williams-Sonoma and I find them to be exceptionally well written and they tend to have very well shot pictures, too. The combination of the right wording together with some key photos make this book on soups a reference to use and follow from time to time without becoming dated. I find this series is not only attractively presented but the what's inside is what makes them a winner. This soup series includes classics such as Chicken Noodle Soup, Shrimp Bisque, and French Onion Soup as well as soups like Three-Mushroom Soup with Sherry, Curried Corn Soup, and Swiss Chard Soup. 120 pages.

These recipes aren't online
This is a book for people who love a great bowl of soup and who also love to cook. They are not the quickest or simplest recipes. They are just the BEST ones, for each of the classic soups covered. I have also found that, while there are Williams-Sonoma recipes on the web for most of these soups, the ones in this book are a little different, typically a little more bother, and also--to my taste--noticeably better. A few of my all-time favorites: Split Pea (whith ham added from Thanksgiving leftovers), Beef and Beet Borscht, and the crowning jewel, Chicken Tortilla. (I've made that last one while visiting in Mexico and had locals begging me for the recipe!)

Soup Cookbook
Love all the Williams-Sonoma Collection. Great not too complicated recipes, bright , beautifully shot photos of the finished product. I have purchased as many of the other books in the collection as I could get my hands on. Even used, they are a great buy and I'll cherish them forever. Greatest place to buy books on earth!
