it took me about 20 minutes per eye to get my contacts out. With this little plunger it takes less than a minute. I just put an eye drop in to make sure the lens is wet and place the plunger over the irus and they come right out first try. my eyelids don't hold open wide for more than a few seconds and with this tool, it's fast enough to grab them in time. I'm so glad that I was bale to find the right ones that work for me.

I like these a lot better than the other plungers for contacts. I don't have to use two different ones to insert my contacts or to remove them. I can just use the one. They are also washable and reusable. Others say you can't wash and have to dispose of after so many uses. I like the fact that I'm able to store it in the container it came in. So no worries or having to rinse or clean before you use it. Where as most don't come with anything to store it in.

Make sure to squeeze it a little, and hold, before you put it on your lens. This way it forms a Slight suction properly. Gently hold it so as to not break the suction between the lens and the device. Fill your lens and bring it up to your eye. Squeeze the DMV Completely and HOLD. Your lens is now floating on the device. It can now naturally adhere to your eye. IF you stop squeezing before you put it on, it will re-suction your lens and it won't release it into your eye. It only takes 1-2 seconds at most, so don't wear your fingers out. I have been having the hardest time getting my scleral contact out. The regular plungers without a hole are not easily suctioning to my contact but this one works much better as you can squeeze the handle of the plunger and release it once you are attached to the contact to create a solid suction which can then be released once the contact is out of your eye by squeezing the handle again. I still sometimes have to do the thing where you push the lower lid into the contact to break the seal before i can suction it out so I’m not suctioning my eyeball out but I can attach this first before I do that.

As a contact lens wearer for many years, having a "plunger" has always been a back up necessity. But the regular style were hard to use, sometimes mis-shaped and I hate having to push against my contact and eyeball with it. Enter this one, and whew! So glad I tried it. So easy to use (follow instructions to squeeze the handle). Gone are the days of chasing or poking a lens in my eyeball repeatedly. Great find!
