Works great in small spaces
This is a great little dehumidifier! Works well, runs quiet, easy to use. We use it in a small bathroom and empty daily when in use. The only negative is the cover of the water tank does not come off for cleaning. This makes it hard to clean and dry the water tank as instructed. As a compromise, we rinse the tank weekly with water and white vinegar to keep it clean.

Working great through 5 summers now!
Purchased this item in September 2021, it's now October 2025, figured I should write a review! I have used this April/May through October every single year (mid Atlantic coastal U.S.) and it works beautifully. Easy to use, easy to clean. Quiet operation. Perfect for a closet or other small room that just gets too humid. Every time you empty it, shake the chamber vigorously with fresh water. Keeps the biofilm gunk from building up in between cleanings. Be gentle when you put the water chamber back into the unit. Always take out and empty with the power off. If you're not using it all year long, clean it and make sure it is absolutely dry before storing for the season. Overall, great purchase and wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

Works kinda.
So it does remove some water but is not effective or efficient on power. I actually tested it in my small camper 16 foot. This is gonna be long so stay with me….. I started it on a near 100% humidity day IE it was raining and over 80 degrees. So if you know the way they are tested (at least the big ones) it’s in high humidity and temp where they are the most efficient. After 24 hours it removed exactly 6 fl oz’s of water. About the same as a desiccant bag etc…however… I then tested my 50 pint compressor dehumidifier that I use in my three car garage. That unit is rated at 745 watts. The small on is rated at 20 watts (so way better right) NO. I opened my garage up to bring the humidity up to outside levels as the unit keeps the garage at 50% ish all the time. Once it was humid inside I tested that one. In 6 minutes it removed 6 fl oz’s so same as the small unit in 24 hours (actually a little more but close). So at 745 watts for 6 minutes…or at 20 watts for 1440 minutes you do the math. About 7 times more energy for the same effect. Now I know I don’t need that much power in the camper….but maybe a smaller compressor unit. They other issue is that in minutes the large unit will turn my large garage from 70 to 50 percent humidity…the small one had almost no effect on the humidity reading in the small camper in 24hrs…meaning that the outside humidity probably infiltrated the camper faster than the unit could pull the humidity out…so really no effect…opening the windows would prolly give the same reading on the meter. So at the end of the day this works but if you want to actually keep the humidity at a lower level then this is not the tool… Will it reduce humidity kinda…but for the amount of energy it’s not efficient or effective….

Best of a Mediocre Bunch
In the world of small, cheap dehumidifiers, this one seems to work best. I've tried others but they only last a few months before I have to throw them out. These last a year, maybe two. Yes, that is very unimpressive but apparently Chinese products are not very well made. Who knew?

Works wonderfully and has stood the test of time.
I bought this dehumidifier for my freshman year of college. It was common knowledge that the dorm I was assigned had a reputation for being humid. So much so, that during the year I lived there, there was a lovely little mold outbreak. I kept this on in my dorm room pretty much anytime that there wasn’t snow on the ground. In the warmer months, it would fill more quickly. I don’t think it filled up any faster than every 36 hours during peak humidity during my use. It’s easy to empty, easy to clean with a little vinegar when necessary, and really hasn’t become less effective after having it for 6 years. It’s been used for the first straight year, then intermittently for a few months of the year for the last 5. In the town I live in now, humidity isn’t as frequent of a problem. I find myself using a humidifier more often than this dehumidifier, but when I do pop it out of storage, it works rather quickly to manage any stuffiness that is bothering me. It’s super simple to use, with just an on/off switch. There is a plug to easily empty it, which I’ve always repurposed to water plants. For the money, and the size of the space I’ve inhabited (either a small dorm room or a 1 bedroom apartment) it’s worked very well. I wouldn’t expect it to cover more square footage than it advertises. It’s also genuinely quiet, and I like that it shuts of automatically when full. I’m very happy with the unit for what I spent on it.

Smaller than previous one but seems ok.
The one is a little smaller than the ones I bought before it. This is my third one. First one, power plug broke in two. They replaced it, so that’s good. Second one worked fine for two years and suddenly stopped. I guess I’ll see how this one does! The previous models were great at extracting moisture from my bathroom which has no ventilation but a window. It collected a LOT of water! This has prevented the mold/mildew I used to get in the bathroom. I also squeegee the shower walls after, and during shower I crack the window and door for some cross ventilation.

Mighty little dehumidifier!!
I purchased this bad boy several months ago for a small kitchen closet that builds up a lot of condensation all year long. My house sits on a slab (no basement) and the closet faces an outside wall, so it's a nightmare trying to keep moisture from developing. Well, let me tell you, this little guy does the job and does it well!! In addition to the kitchen closet, the entire kitchen and living room areas have been dry the entire winter months - no moisture in the air whatsoever. I normally empty the tank every two days but it's only half way full when I do. I could go longer, but I've been getting in the habit of emptying it often so I don't forget. For the money, it is worth every penny spent. I will be ordering another one for my back bedroom. Again, another closet facing an outside wall and condensation/moisture build up in that area as well. This dehumidifier is small enough to fit in small spaces and it's very quiet. If you're on the fence, don't be - it works very well and I am pleased with this purchase!

Nice units, but 3 of 4 stopped working in 6 months. Edited. In total 4 of 7 stopped working.
While they worked they worked fine: quiet and efficient. Two stars for that. However, I bought 4 and 3 died within 3 months. Each one failed due to a faulty overflow switch. ( If your handy, jumper the red and black. It'll work again but you won't have overflow protection.). I might have tried to get them replaced, but then, at best, I'd have to do this twice a year. As it is I still use them --- just have to keep an eye on the water level. Addendum: One Retail Group contacted me and sent me replacements for the three failed ProBreeze dehydrators. For their kind and prompt service I upgraded my review to four stars. There is here a bit of a mea culpa here. A few previous vendors being unresponsive to my customer requests should not paint the next vendor with the same brush. I hope I have learned a lesson. If in six months the new dehydrators are still working well I’ll upgrade my review to five stars. Sadly, one of the replacements failed after a few months. So, three out of seven are all that's left after less than a year. The retailer refunded me for the new broken one. I have no real complaint with them except they sell an unsatisfactory product.
