Really works, but you may need to leave it on for an extended period of time (24 hours)
I followed the directions and applied Keralyt 5 Gel an hour before washing my hair. Did this for several days with no noticeable results. I had read other reviews, so I tried leaving it on longer, extending by an hour each time. I got up to 6 hours and still no noticeable results. So I deided to leave it on for 24 hours. I started at 7am, and checked my scalp for burns every hour. I had no problem with burns, but after all these years with seborrheic dermatis I think my scalp is pretty tough. For those with more sensitive scalps this could be too long, so be cautious. Anyway, for the past 10 months I have experienced the worst seborrheic dermatitis outbreak of my life. I have very dense, adherent scales in several places on my scalp and no matter what I tried (shampoos including T-Gel, T-Sal, Selsun Blue, Nizoral; salicylic acid 2% acne ointment; Lotrimin and Monistat OTC creams) it would not lift the scales and I was an itching miserable mess. Finally Keralyt 5 Gel has brought success! For the first time in 10 months some of the scaly areas on my scalp are clear. I'm going to continue applying it in the hopes that it will eliminate the scales in those areas for a good amount of time. Note that when you leave Keralyt 5 Gel on for 24 hours it will result in significant flaking. That's good, because the scales are coming off. But it is unsightly. So I use it on the weekend or when I'm working from home so I'm not embarrased by the flaking.

Absolutely insane how expensive this has gotten
This works well for me as I have a condition where the dead skin doesn’t fall off my hands as it should. I put some on and wear rubber gloves for a few hours . But when it was prescription way back when it was cheap. Every time I buy it now it goes up A LOT for some reason. It’s a little ridiculous as it’s not some new discovery

Keralyt 5 versus 6
Received a Rx from doctor for Keralyt 6 Gel 60g. Higher than other Rx deductibles. Doctor suggested I try the over the counter # 5. Only slightly less potent. I could not tell the difference in results from the 6 to the 5.

Did not know you have to wash it out within a time frame
Edit: Now I see it cannot be returned! 30$ wasted. Be certain about it when you buy this. Review: I am not a "wash your hair every day" person, and this stuff instructs to initially leave on only up to 20 minutes. so for me, requires some scheduling. Says"use daily initially, then once or twice a week." I am not going to do this. (chlorine allergy and also dries out my hair and skin) Since I haven't used it yet and am still thinking about how this would fit into my hair care routine I cannot comment on effectiveness. I might have to return it. They do make a shampoo maybe that would work better for me. Also the ingredient is pure salicylic acid 5%, in gel form which I imagine one could get from a dermatologist and would be covered under insurance?

Great for foot calluses
Eats thru any callus on your feet. But be careful because its strong and will also take the very top layer of good skin with it.

Easy to apply and smells good too!
Used it for eczma on hands and feet. Did a good job of clearing it up.

Great product for scalp problems.
This product is great for me. I have psoriasis so it works well on itching and my scaling. The product is a liquid that comes out fast so be careful when using it.
