Good quality tool
Worked perfectly when I needed to replace the spring balancers on a couple windows

Window now stays open
I had one window that would not stay open. Used this tool and now the window is easier to open and stays open

Does the job. But I rather by one with a longer smaller reach
A little bit too tick. The head does not fit with ease. Does the job.

simple and practical. Its a must have tool to tighten window balance in tilt windows.
I was hesitant to buy this tool since there are so many negative reviews. However, for my windows it worked flawlessly. This is a must have tool. For example, i was trying my pliers but it was very difficult to hold and it increased the risk of damaging shoes and balance. However, once i received this tensioner, the job became ridiculously fast and accurate.

Who Knew??
Been installing and adjusting counter-balance sash window springs for years using a pair of pliers. Have now discovered (through a YouTube video) there is an actual tool to do this with... Damn... Works great and sure is easier than using stupid pliers. If your going to do any sash window fixing, this is the way... I have spoken.

Perfect TOOL for winding VINYL Window sashes Balances
This TOOL did the trick: rewound balance springs (6-7 turns each side) and remounted window which operated just as it should have. This TOOL will allow the rewinding and reconnecting in about 2 minutes per balance (it was more trouble getting the window realigned with the locking shoe slides than the actual rewinding).

It works but it slips off very easily. Not the best design also. Front is to thick.

Works as designed
It works to twist the balance springs on a tilt window. The slot is the correct size, it fit the pins snugly and allow you to attach the spring end to the cam block. I have one window done, three more to do.
