I bought for my instrument cluster but if you are like me and want red turn signal lights for some reason, there is a green film on the cluster since the bulb is just white so it wont be red lol, also if your trying to put it in the cluster the diode is square...and it needs to go thru a circle, it will fit with some finagling but its a bit annoying

but it is a lot better than having no light at all
Writing a review just because some of the previous ones I have read were complete and utter stupidity... Please please PLEASE test the lights first to prove they aren't working, not because you put them in wrong and gave up right away. I tested all of my lights before putting them in, and they all worked. Yes, they are dimmer than I thought they were going to be, but it is a lot better than having no light at all. Besides, if they were crazy bright anyway it would be a distraction. Again.. test the lights, don't be stupid when you install them and they don't work the first time.

No Defective Lights
No issues with defective lights. 10 of 10 worked fine when hooked up correctly. Like most LEDs these have a polarity and do not work if connected in reverse. I tested all 10 with a 9v battery before using, all 10 lit up fine.Light is very concentrated on a point, though. Ideal for lighting single indicators. Not great for lighting gauge clusters.

If you have enough time and patience you can sort of make these work, but why bother?
I bought these to add indicator lamps to my boat's switch panel. They're "designed" to replace incandescent bulbs typically found in automotive instrument panels, so I figured they'd work just fine. But I discovered that there are three reasons they absolutely should not be purchased for these applications:1. They are so poorly designed mechanically that they don't fit properly in the socket, meaning that electrical contact is hit or miss. Mostly miss. I fought for way too much time to get them crammed into the sockets and lit up.2. Would it be too much to ask for a polarity marking? After all, they are Light Emitting Diodes. Diodes. Pass current in only one direction. There is what appears to be a "dot" on one side, but it has nothing to do with polarity.3. The incandescent bulbs that these replace have a pretty wide dispersion of light, resulting in an even glow. These are like "Space Lasers" aimed at your face. Well of course they are, they're surface-mount LEDs. The absolute wrong way to light up instruments without some sort of diffuser.I got so mad that I wasted 10 minutes writing this review, so you don't have to endure the pain.

Great for eye strain and fatigue
Had blue previously, and even when turned down, in the dark I got bad eye strain. Red is bright enough when needed in brighter situations, but in the dark, even the brightest setting is not too much. Love the ease of install and clean look

Seemed like a good deal
Seemed like a good deal. I bought wrong size thinking these were 194. So I couldn't use them. Thinking about putting these in my dash cluster. Will update review when I do

and they work great! No dead units in this package
Installed in instrument cluster. I used them for direct lights, not for cluster flood. Replaced all the warning lamps, and they work great! No dead units in this package. Bright red, works great behind red lens units - would not recommend them behind green (indicator) or other lenses. I bought them just for my warning lights - and they work fantastically!
