Calligraphy Studio: The Ultimate Introduction to the Art of Hand Lettering

I had the pleasure of having Chris as a professor in college for both graphic design and calligraphy. He's a fantastic man and an amazing professor. This book is just like sitting in his class except you can bring it with you anywhere! Absolutely an essential for anyone trying to learn calligraphy.

There is lots of interesting information on lettering, its development and changes throughout the ages. I found it interesting. There is not much on technique, nor does it show many different calligraphy styles. The title is accurate, its an introduction.

As advertised, on time delivery, good value.My Callig Instructor recommended the book and was everything she said it would be.

I love this book. It is very well written and organized. I have many books on calligraphy, and this is one of the best.

A brilliant book, well laid out with clear instructions and tips. I also like the fact that the author is honest about calligraphy in real life - i.e. not every piece of work looks as clean and professional as set out in calligraphy books which is quite reassuring especially when you're learning how to do it.

The book is well written and easily read. I have a love of art and history so the sections describing illumination and the creating of a book by hand has inspired me to couple it with my other passion which is family history.

One of the very best calligraphy how-to books around and an essential buy for beginners. I don't know anyone who covers the foundational hand as well as Christopher Calderhead.

Great step by step guide with realy good illustrations. Just what I was looking for to help to expand my understanding of the letter shapes.
