Enjoyable and Well Researched Local History
It is always enjoyable to read books that include names of real places you have been included in a curious or mysterious story from years ago. This is One of Those Stories. I will not spoil the ending, but the story is a demonstration of great storytelling, the history of places, people, and events, wrapped up in a history of real people in real places - many of which I have visited. Read it.

More questions presented.
Well researched but no closure. How did Mom's time and intensity with search for lost child effect the other children, especially in their adult years. It seems as though some trace of child would have been found after all these years if she had died in the forest. Or is that area still as remote. Interesting story.

Disappointed
Did not enjoy this. Supposed to be a true story. Little girl comes up missing because she wasn’t being watched. No real solution just suppositions.

Riveting, true story!
The author did much research to write this compelling documentary of the events that transpired during the early 1920s in the mountains of Arkansas. It was a quick read and hard to put down.

Very good read
Very interesting read. Being from Booneville I've heard stories about the missing little girl, and this book was a very good read.
