The bottle is made of plastic. The plastic material is pretty hard and tough, not the soft type of plastic. I do not know whether the plastic is food grade / BPA-free, as there is no indication on the bottle label on the type of plastic that the bottle is made of.

What is the country of origin?

I just looked on the bottle itself: the country of origin is Paraguay. Oh, but the most important issue is the substance is Certified Organic. Hope this helps you.

Why does it say “incl. 10g of added sugars” on ingredient list??! Does this product have added sugars?

Hi and thanks for your question. On May 20, 2016, the FDA announced the new Nutrition Facts labeling rules for packaged foods. This new label now includes a line for “Added Sugars” to be listed on the nutrition facts panel. Added Sugars are a sub component of total sugars and indicates how much sugar has been added to the product during processing or packaging. This includes granulated and crystallized sugars as well as sugars from syrups and honey.
We have not changed our sugars or sweeteners in any way, so nothing “extra” has been added to our delicious organic sugars and sweeteners.
