Our medium sized older doggie took right to it!! She either curls right up in in or lays across it and rests her head on the edge. Looks very content in it. Would buy again. We take it in the camping trailer too. Really soft an squishy. Comes apart for gentle cleaning but would not recommend for heavy outdoor use. There is cushioning in the base of the bed but not substantial like an orthopedic bed. If you are on the fence about size, go smaller if you want the cozy curled up effect, bigger if you want them to be able to sprawl across it.

This dog bed is amazing. My super picky dog who literally will sleep on the floor instead of a bed I get for her that she doesn't like loves this bed so much. She stretches out in it and uses the edges as a head rest or paw rest. She used to follow me around the house, but now I never see her anymore except in the rooms I have her bed in. I finally caved and bought three of them to put in different rooms so I didn't have to move her bed with me to each room I'm in. It's made of a super nice plush material and also unzips for easy cleaning. Highly recommend. Your dog will love it!
