I must give 5 stars because I'm sure this berk is excellent.But, I made the mistake of buying unisex. I've worn berks my who life since I was 20 and I'm 60 now.It's too late to return mine because I just kept wearing them...thinking I just need to break them in. Silly of me. I've never needed to break in any of my berks.So I finally realized it is because for the first time instead of womens, I bought unisex. They hurt my feet, feel so heavy, clunkier and i cant wait to take them off.That's my dad story. I live on a limited income and it's been forever since I've treated myself to a new pair. I was so excited! Such a mistake.Never ever again will i buy unisex shoes.

I’m thrilled!!! This was my first Birkenstock purchase. I chose Amazon because I always buy here first, but then I got nervous after reading the reviews of what people received versus what they ordered. I researched and researched about how to spot fakes and honestly didn’t know what would arrive when they got here - I didn’t have high hopes. But these are for sure the REAL DEAL! I ordered the nubuck suede in Taupe. They’re exactly what I wanted. The straps are soft but very sturdy. The footbed is incredibly comfortable and supportive, even without my having broken them in yet (which I know will take some time to do). *NOTE: these are the original footbed, not the softer, cushioned one. The listing is confusing.* For sizing reference, I’m a solid 10 (ladies) with average if not sometimes wide feet. I ordered a 41 Narrow and they are PERFECT. I was shocked. I could not be happier!

I'm so disappointed!! I just received the sandals and they're not even in their original birkenstock box. They look used and dirty! Not anywhere in the description does it say that its opened/used. I was super excited to receive it but I don't want athlete's foot!

These are not authentic Birkenstock’s and I highly doubt they are actually leather. I purchased a pair from this site, and then purchased the same style and color from Nordstrom (for only $15 more). There is definitely a difference in materials used throughout the shoe. The footbed is very hard and the contours are exaggerated compared to the pair from Nordstrom. While this might be a good enough dupe, it isn’t worth the price and possible foot strain from the stiffness of the shoe.

These are good sandals. Be sure to go to the Birkenstock website and study the sizes, including the downloadable sizing diagram, if you have not worn these before. The quality and construction remain great as it has for years. My only complaint is that these sandals run rather wide, even the narrow ones which I ordered. This can be compensated somewhat by drilling an additional hole in the straps to make them tighter. For best fit Birkenstock should make these in a narrow (A/B), medium (C/D) and wide (E). My usual shoe size is 11 1/2 A (mens). I bought the 45 Narrow, which fits like a men's 11 1/2 C. Since these are unisex, most women will certainly want the narrow. Even men with a medium width foot will do best with the narrow, too.

These are advertised as women’s. They say women’s size 8 on my order as well. They are a men’s 8 so entirely way too big and not true to advertisement.

I did a search for Men’s Birkenstock sandals. The descriptor is unisex. I ordered size 11 for my husband who normally wears a 10.5 to 11. The shoes arrived quickly and in new condition.My hubby put them on and they were too small.The box said LADIES SIZE 11.The inside of the shoe said UNISEX with Men Size 9.5 and Ladies Size 11.I was lucky that the shoes fit my son perfectly, although he normally wears a MENS Size 10-10.5!I now know what size to order for my husband, but only because we went through this unnecessary aggravation. If one is selling something as unisex, then please label the size choices appropriately for male and female sizing!!And shoppers be aware these shoes apparently are not true to size, but run large.Since my son has had the sandals for only one day so I cannot speak to quality or longevity. He did say they are comfortable. My two star review reflects getting a wrongly sized product from that ordered, both in manufacturing sizing and by the seller, because it doesn’t matter how good a product is if it doesn’t fit per standard sizing!

I was very happy to get leather Birks at such a great price! I'm still in the breaking in phase. Some Birk upper materials take more time to break in (like this rather stiff leather), but give it time. Wear socks if the leather chafes. Also pay attention to the strap length, which is adjustable. The same Birk quality and consistency of design. I have owned several pairs for decades.

I have several pairs of Birkenstock’s and I never want to wear any other shoes in summer! The Arizona in black are my all time favourite.SIZE & FIT- I’m usually a size 6 but in Birkenstock’s I always get a size smaller (5 or 38)- I have wide feet and these are perfect- I usually get a backache when walking for hours (especially on city holidays were you constantly exploring) but these Birkenstock’s actually improved my durability ^^STYLE- You can combine these with anything (maybe not a ball gown, but I have even done that at the end of a wedding)- They make you look effortlessly chic- Jeans, summer dresses, skirts, I have yet to find a combination that doesn’t workQUALITY- This shoe is made out of leather- I personally think that wearing them the first day is always a bit uncomfortable but once they adjust to your feet they are the most comfortable sandals you’ll ever wear (Thanks to whoever made them fashionable!)- They arrived in perfect condition in original boxingPRICE- Birkenstock’s are not the cheapest shoes but you get value for money- These were the cheapest on Amazon (compared to high-street and online retailers)The only problem with these - you will end up buying more!

I bought these size 5 Birkenstock sandals from Amazon over 2 years ago on the recommendation of a relative as I was suffering very badly with plantar fasciitis and everything that I had tried until then hadn’t really helped. They were an expensive item for what I was going to use as house slippers but the pain was so bad that I was willing to try anything. When I first wore them my feet felt really sore as I wore them in whilst they moulded to the shape of my feet and the dye on the inner soles rubbed off on my feet although it washed off very easily but I had concerns about whether I had made the right decision to buy them. I am so glad that I persevered because after a couple of months I noticed that I was no longer limping, the pain gradually disappeared and I have been plantar fasciitis pain free ever since. Over 2 years on, the soles are starting to wear out a bit on the heels and I am considering buying another pair now as I don’t want to be without these sandals for even one day. Highly recommended.

I got my sizing from printing the chart on the official website. I am a size five and these are a perfect fit for me in the 5 regular width. I tried another pair and they hurt "more", but I later found that those were a "Narrow fit", so it is very important to make sure you check that when buying Birkenstocks on Amazon.The nitty gritty is that these are not Sketchers LOL This is my first pair and having read up on them I knew it would be a case of having to wear them in, but being an avid wearer of afore mentioned Sketchers I got a bit of a shock sliding these hard soles on my poor unsuspecting feet. Now this is going to sound really strange, but they kind of hurt in a good way. I have been wearing them for just a few days now, and have done a fair amount of walking. When I put them on first thing they feel hard and uncomfortable but after a minute I don't notice it any more. During the day when walking a lot my feet sort of ache a bit, but in a massaging kind of way not a painful kind of way (hope that makes sense). I have not had any blisters or rubbing, and I am hopeful they will eventually mould to my feet or vice versa and will be forever comfortable. :)The bottom line here is: Get the right sizing and width, and be aware that there will be a considerable "wearing-in" period.

The outline of the sole fits the outline of my foot nearly perfectly but the topography and rigidity of the sole feels like it will harm my feet.I don't have arch support when I walk barefoot. Haven't our feet have evolved so that our arches receive no direct contact pressure? When my running shoes wear to the point that I feel the sole contact my arches I bin them but evidently Birkenstock consider this a benefit?I've worn the Arizona EVA daily since buying them about a year ago and find them to be the most comfortable footwear I have ever had but they are much softer. I have now tried the cork/latex/leather version in both a 265 (as recommended by Birkenstock) and a 270. My longest foot is ~267mm and widest is ~257mm (circumference).I didn't even fasten the straps on them such was the discomfort of the sole. Returned. Amazon service exemplary - such that I feel guilty returning them. EDIT: Be aware that if you return an item via the Amazon Locker service, you have no proof of the return! A month after returning these, they still show as "in transit" and Amazon has sent me a reminder email to return them. Unacceptable.

I have been using Birkenstock (Arizona model) since I was a young teenager and when my last pair was practically destroyed, after more than a decade, I bought a new one. I chose the black coloured version. Very comfortable and suitable for all seasons (I use it only at home). Excellent value for money! I purchased it at 30% less than the price in Birkenstock/physical stores. It arrived as scheduled (with Prime, the day after my order was sent). Great product - highly recommended! Amazon service impeccable as usual! Five stars to both.
