This is a replacement 110v AC extension cord receptacle. It goes on the end of an AC source wire and than you can plug in a standard 2-3 pin AC load plug. **Q: Product details says 16/3 wire, q/a says they forced a 12/3 wire into it but not easy, do you have a grounding cord outlet for 12/3 and 14/3?** A: You shouldn't have any problem putting this on a 12 gauge extension cord. This is a commercial quality female power cord end for exactly this use case. I have been able to use them on cords (all with a ground wire) as thin as 16 gauge and as thick as 12 gauge without any problem. **Q: I'd really like to put in an order but is it really true what's said in the description that it takes 1 or 2 months to deliver product?** A: When I ordered this product there were no long term delay. Unfortunately, the world we now live in is filled with delays and shortages. It could be true or they might be erroring on the side of safety. Sorry for a mixed answer.
