Not SO Great
Only had these since 12/18/18 not even a year old and have only worn them to work .they were very comfortable to stand in all day but poorly made like all products made over seas and not in America..all the stitching came undone on each side of boot like the picture shows,,,so good luck if you buy these,,,but I think some times they put good time in the making them and sometimes you just get a pair maybe the night shift made and didn't really care if the stitching would hold up or not ,,at least in America they put pride and quality in there work and you normally get what you pay for when its American made...we need our manufactures back here where people care and not in a country where the companies are creating slave labor at 2 bucks an hour only to have these big businesses profit largely from slave labor...

NOT WATERPROOF.... at all. Total disappoitment.
I took these boots on a 3 day trip in October to Glacier National Park covering over 35 miles over various extreme terrain and to include deep snow and a day of steady rain. I had a pair of similar Merrell boots that lasted over a decade and these were a complete disappointment and I will be returning them and finding a new brand. I have had few scarier outdoor experiences than being 8 miles up a mountain hiking to a glacier and stepping in a tiny creek under the snow only a few inches deep and feeling my socks get wet instantly when it was 10 degrees outside. The next day we hiked Avalanche Lake and there was a steady rain. Without out stepping in any creeks or puddles this time, the rain alone SOAKED my feet within about 45 minutes. Luckily it was closer to 40 degrees out that day. The boots are quite comfortable and have good support, but if waterproofing is important at all to you then these are a total joke. There is 0 waterproofing on the tongue so if you step in a puddle more than an inch deep or even a light rain, your feet will be soaking. The boots also have outstanding traction over rough terrain and very lightweight for the amount of support they provide. Such a shame to have such a massive defect.

Great price, great hiker
I have owned and worn Merrell hikers for longer than I can remember. These are a very nice, comfortable boot. I would however, consider this a light weight hiker. As others have pointed out, there is no gusset on the tongue. This would call in to question the overall waterproof level these hikers could sustain. For me, I wear them as an everyday boot to work and not as a hard core hiking boot. Should manage everyday rain and snow here in the Norhteast. Well worth the money and as comfortable as any Merrell I have ever owned.

Love them. Just needs a few more things
I have a 4E wide foot. Its extremely difficult to find real comfortable plus protection boot that will allow me to take 15,000 steps a day if not more. AND IM DIABETIC.Got ideas for you guys if your interested in hearing it..

Big toe box
I had to return & replace exactly 1/2 size larger and now fit as if my regular size. Toe box is large which I need for my foot and the center section of boot is slender which I also need. Easy on because there's no bellows on tongue. I guess I wouldn't where if constantly hiking through puddles or alike. Comfortable right out of the box which Merrels are sorta known for. A short break-in period might be necessary if your a hard core hiker

Better sole shape and support than expected for a soft boot.
I had an older model that wasn't as nice but was just supposed to be a temporary replacement for some Timberland ACTs that I really liked. 5 years later I decided that even though they're soft these Merrells hold up amazingly well. So I bought this pair. I was pleasantly surprised to get a more supportive sole like I originally wanted but didn't find. So no complaints at all, got exactly what I wanted, and got the size right on the first try thanks to already owning a pair of the brand. I wear about 8.5 in running shoes and 7.5 in army boots, but need a 9 in these.

Great Fit
This was a good purchase of a business casual shoe for me. This is the second pair of Merrell's for me. The first pair was a size 11.5. I had to send these back and get a size 12 that fit perfectly.

I love Merrell shoes!!
Ever since I bought my first pair of Merrill light weight hiking shoes I've been addicted to Merrells. Their size 12 last fit's my foot like it was custom-made. I have several pairs of both low- and mid-cut hiking shoes. I think they're the best brand for the money.

plush perambulators
Good fit, very comfortable and in my opinion they look good. Height of lacing allows ease in getting on/off. Worn in very heavy rain and shallow snow. In heavy rain, water did once get in via tongue, but then they are "mid waterproof" and it's only once in many times out in rain. I also had waterproof trousers on so rain was running off them on to my feet.2020-06-09Stitching has failed on outside of one boot at widest part of foot. They were worn often, usually in poor weather conditions.

Confortable but NOT waterproof!!
Very nice looking pair of boots. These are very confortable and are lightweight which is great if you have to wear them for long periods of time, like in my case. I work as a delivery driver so I'm on the road most of the day so I needed confortable and waterproof shoes, and that's where these boots disappointed me, I bought these because of the waterproof feature specifications, but after a couple of hours out in the rain the water started leaking and even got my socks wet, I don't know if the pair of boots that I got were faulty, but I can't help but feel that I wasted my money, and these weren't cheap.

Comfortable, no need to brak in. Some wet-weather grip issues, though...
I've been a big fan of Merrells for years, now. These Moabs are just as comfy and easy to rack up the miles in, right out of the box. A wide toe box makes for a pain-free experience. When it's a little wet underfoot on smooth surfaces or when walking on soggy ground, grip can be a little compromised, though.

Very comfortable Shoe
These are my forth pair of these Merrell Boots. They are really very good. I am on my feet a lot during the day and these boots keep my feet comfortable. They are waterproof and keep your feet warm and dry in the winter time too.As a negative, I would like the sole to last longer as it seems to wear out long before the leather upper is ready to give up. Never the less I do recommend them. Please note they come sized wrong though, I am foot size UK10 but I always need an 11 in these.

Not waterproof and poor quality
The description states "Waterproof" but they are not even shower proof. Also after 6 months of intermittent use the internal mesh and sponge in the heel have warn away and they now offer no padding to the back of the foot. Once I figure out how to return they will be going back to Merrell
