Only filter I use
I can't understand why more oil filters don't have a nut for ease of removal. If you have ever fought with a oil filter that didn't want to come off you will praise the K&N design. I cut my oil filters in half at oil change time and I was pleased to see the quality didn't stop on the outside. IMHO best filter for the money!

Filterin probably great. But not the nut
I'm sure it filtered ok. Didn't get my oil tested. But the but on the end broke off the identical, replaced K&N filter when attempting to remove. Ended up having to loosen the radiator support on my night rod special to get the oil filter plyers in there to get it off. Filter didn't seem to be on any tighter than usual when I removed it with the plyers. The Nut is barely tacked on. Any heavy handed mechanic is sure to face a broken nut upon removal.

V Rod compatible DX Color
you can usually only find the chrome version, but Amazon carries the black version that I use on my VRSCDX. it's much easier to remove and install due to the nut welded to the top of the filter. The V Rods being a German engine need a high-quality synthetic media filter, and this is a good choice for ease-of-use and quality with synthetic oil products.
