Sturdy, Bright, Small Led Flashlight
These Led flashlights seem to have a good build quality, take a single AA battery, have a push-button switch with two brightness and a flashing mode. These are badged NLA NPU or NIA NPU With Cree Q5 lamp. They also have a metal clip that works very well. Their size is great--very pocketable, also fits well in a purse, fanny pack, lunch box, or numerous places inside an automobile or truck. You can also focus the beam which I guess is a plus. They are so inexpensive I even put them in coat pockets and sometimes hand them out to friends. I used to buy Lux or Lux-Pro Led flashlights such as the Lux-Pro LP200, which is comparable to this one I am rating and a two AA battery model Lux. Problem is, for me the four or five Lux lights I have purchased over the last year do not turn on or off properly, like a short in the switch. When they will not turn you slap them on your palm and they will come on. Sometimes they will start flashing without you pressing the switch. Too bad, I really liked the Lux flashlights but not if they give out so soon--latest one lasted two months and cost a bit more. Just about all flashlights are made in China. Lux claims on their web site that if you have a problem they will take care of it--NOT!!! Unless they need more than three months to return an email and answer a simple question. I bought Lux both on Amazon and also in Lowes when they were running a special which I believe was a single AA and a double AA as a promotion for around $12. Also, the adds for lamps like this are usually referred to as "Tactical." Give me a break.

Great little light, there are so many variations of this on the market...
I have bought about 50 different flashlights trying to find the perfect one, still looking... but I have to say this is a great little light! It can take a regular AA battery or a 14500 Li-ion 3.7V cell, and I recommend you use the latter it will be about 3 times brighter! This light is small, but not too small. It's lightweight but not cheap feeling, it gets a little warm running it on 3.7V but not bad. I have much larger flashlights with MUCH larger batteries that put out less or the same amount of light as this one. I don't know where they get all these rating numbers because in my experience none of them are comparable. They mess with the numbers to make them look good. Straight up I think this is a 200-300 lumen light, I think the 6,000 and 10,000 numbers you see on similar flashlights are just dumb. How can the same size / design light with one cell battery put out 10,000 lumen? I have a Maglite with a 1,000 Lumen Teralux head in it, there is no way any of those I tested were brighter than my Mag. But anyway, this light is definitely bright enough to light up the night and see where you are going or what you are working on. And that one little battery lasts quite a long time. I have not done any runtime tests, I have rechargeable batteries, I don't care, I just exchange it for another. My ONLY complaint is that the tailcap on this design is too small, my fingers are big and it is a little difficult to unscrew. Out of 50 flashlights laying around here this is one I pick up all the time, just changed the battery last night!

Inexpensive and you get 5 of them!
I received my new flashlight order today. Package arrived in good order. The individual lights were packed well to prevent damage in bubble wrap packets. Batteries are not included as was advertised. I installed the AA battery and inspected the machining quality of the light. The light appears to be made with good tolerances with one noticeable exception. The battery seems loose in the in its compartment. Once the tail cap is installed the battery is stabilized and seems to be ok. Flashlight function is straightforward and easy to use. The light bezel is allowed to slide forward and back to adjust the beam focus from flood to spot. Flood mode is a nice wide smooth beam. Lots of light covers a large area for good illumination or non harsh lighting for reading in dark areas. Changing to spot by sliding the bezel forward rewards with an interesting spot that mimics the square layout of the LED chip set. Not sure if this is just a cost saver by eliminating a diffuser or other optical elements for a higher quality spot focus. This is an interesting spot that shows up square but is perfectly functional. At this price point I would definitely consider buying this item.

Lightweight and easy to carry/store
Itโs incredible how you can get five flashlights with this kind of quality and these kinds of features for this kind of price. Granted these little lights arenโt going to guide you on your next spelunking adventure, but for what they are itโs pretty great. These flashlights are the same design as most others in the category. What makes them really cool is that they have the adjustable focus. All you need to do, is slide the lense section forward or backward, and the bean either focuses, or disperses. Usually, you donโt get that on these little type lightsโฆ You have to get the larger ones to get the adjustable beam. In a nutshell, these are great little lights. Theyโre made of aluminum, the lense is acrylic or plastic, but not glass, so itโs less prone to shattering. The rear cover houses the switch which can toggle the light on and off, as well as toggle the strobe function. The one thing that surprised me was that the rear cover does come with a rubber gasket, but the front assembly where the lense is housed does not. I know that this isnโt advertised as a waterproof light, but it wouldnโt take much to make it so. Anyway, all five of my lights worked great upon arrival using a single AA cell in each of them. Theyโre so light and small (no pun intended), that I got them so that everyone in the family has one in their car, bike, or bag. I might need to get some more.

Right quality, size, and price.
I discovered these lights a few years back and was impressed by them immediately. Brightness was great, the one AA battery capacity keeps the overall size down - great for throwing into a glove compartment, tackle box, purse, etc. They are O-ring sealed to keep water out and are constructed of aluminum for light weight as well as corrosion. As a Deputy Sheriff for 36 years I have gone through many - many flashlights. These are nowhere near "duty light", but I gave these to my patrol team members for a Christmas one year. Perfect for clipping (Clip included) to our breast pocket (lens down) to read driver licenses in the dark without blinding everyone with their duty light. Everyone loves them at work. I always buy 10 or so before Christmas to give out when friends stop by. The adjustable beam is useful as is the strobe setting. You will be buying more once your friends/family have a look at them.

Average flashlight, definatly NOT a daily carry!
These are okay for the price I paid for them. Defiantly not a daily carry light if you need it a lot. I took a star away for each issue I had. Below are the details: - One of the lights broke when it fell on the ground off the bed of my truck (not skid proof). They will roll around if the pocket clip isn't on. Either way, I didn't expect it to break from a 3 foot fall. - Another light shorted out when water got into it. I was using it while walking the dog in the rain. There's no o-ring around the head of the light. So water got in through the lens shorted out the led board. I still have 3 left, so I'll just use them around the house. The light is bright, the 3 mode tailcap button works, and it is a nice handy little light. I like the fact that it only needs 1 AA battery and it's smaller then the standard led light. Shame it's miss the o-rings to keep the water out. Probably won't be buying this brand again.

Nice flashlight for less tha $3 apiece
I have five families of relatives in Florida during Helene and Milton. One couple was out looking for a flashlight a few days before Milton hit. I thought it would be nice to buy all five families some inexpensive small flashlights and ship them down. These 1 double AA flashlights were bright and had a slide to focus feature. It is something I would leave on my nightstand. I also bought a pack of ten small single AAA flashlights which averaged $2.20 apiece. I would not buy those again. These Mini Cree Q5 LED's are worth their price of under $3 apiece.

Best flashlight ever!
Absolutely the only flashlight I will ever buy. I have been preparing my bug out bag. I saw these Cree Q5 flashlights on several of the survival subscription boxes. I decided to figure out why they all included these lights. I ordered 2 five packs incase I liked them I would have lots of them. I immediately fell in love with the lights. They use 1 AA battery each. I wasn't expecting to get long run time on only 1 battery, but it was over an hour of constant light on full power!! Not to mention the fact you can focus the lens. I have a very long back yard (app 50yards from the back of the house) and with the light zoomed all the way I get a perfect square of light on my back fence line as if the sun was out. I had used to use a pentagon light I bought 8 or so years ago. It would use 3 of the 123 batteries. At close to $15 each battery (retail store) and only getting 40 minutes of run time out of it, I stopped using it. I had then bought the tac 5.11 life for light. It would recharge in a minute. I had it serviced twice and it stopped working a third time. At close to $200 I was done dealing with it. I then switched over to the good old trusty mag light. A great light and good battery life with the led upgrades. Just heavy and can't carry it on my body. I carry one in my pocket everyday now. Don't leave home with out it and my Kershaw Link Clam. At the per unit price of less than $3 buy a bunch and put them everywhere. I am planning on buying many more of these!
