It takes some practice and the hole is small enough for you to be able to control how thick or how small you want it. I had no burning sensation that was un-normal, of course if you have sensitive skin that may be different. Im a lighter complexion but not overly so the longer it stays the darker it is on it, of course if you use a stencil the design will come out more clean. You can also use this for hair, if you have a thinner hair DO NOT leave it on more than 1 and 30 minutes, especially if it is extremely thin.
