Can I use this on a bass guitar?

Well... Yeah. For studio or ear buds. It will cut out most of the lows, but you can get a Killer Cliff Burton (look it up) or snappy clean and fuzzy fuzz. Seriously think these are the cheapest and the best headphone amps. I use it as a pre-amp straight into a PA... So far beyond its price range! Enjoy brother

Can I plug it directly to an amplifier, or other device?

Technically the answer is "yes", but since this device *is* itself an amplifier, it would only make sense if the amp or other device you want to plug in requires a high-level input. In that case, this would function as a preamp.

can i plug this into a pedalboard?

Plug it into the output of the pedal board. It will work just fine.

Difference between the acoustic and electric model?

The acoustic model is voiced for the acoustic Traveler guitar and the electric for the electric Traveler guitar. I have not tried the Traveler brand electric, but I have tried a few of the Vox headphone amps. The Traveler acoustic amp delivers a much cleaner sound, which meets my needs. I recommend it if you are going to use it with an acoustic guitar. But the Vox amps (and I image the Traveler electric) are great for electric sounds.

Is a very handy travel friendly headphone amplifier, fantastic for quieter (not quite silent being on an acoustic guitar) practice. Has a couple of inbuilt effects sounds decent to okay but can obviously find full sounds for a high price, seems a good match up to small practice amps. Value A+ sound quality B battery life A for what it is and for £17.99 ( think I got it on offer) 5 stars upto about £30-40

Sound is great. I only wish the supplier would add information on their website on how to connect to other external speakers, ipad, computers, etc. Hookup to headphones is simple and effective.
