What goes on inside? Where does drainage occur? flies drawn to this design? Hear that structure is fragile.** A: Nearly all of it is under ground and the poo goes into the chamber with an enzyme powder that comes with the doggie dooley. It pretty much just dissolves over time. We didn't notice flies with ours and we used it for a few years without breakage. We moved and that's not something I need to dig up and take with me so I can't vouch for it beyond that. **Q: This work for 2 great danes? If so how offten to add water and does it make grass greener?** A: If it will work on 2 Great Danes depends on a lot of factors, however in General it should, as the unit can handle 4 normal size dogs. While this is not a product made to help grass grow, like any septic tank, it will have a tendency to make the grass around it greener. We cannot advise how often you need to add water, again there are just way too many variables. Adding water is on an "As needed" basis. **Q: can I use it in the winter? If not, where do I put the poo in the winter? do I have to wait to pickup in the spring?** A: If I doesn't get covered in snow you can use it other than that I don't wait until the spring because when it unfreezes it makes a mess and smells terrible. If I can not use my doggie doodley I put mine in the trash. (NO not in the house I leave it out side. lol) **Q: Which model would work for 3 large dogs?** A: I think they would all work...however what depends is how well your soil drains and also that you maintain the Doggie Dooley. We have three dogs, one large and two medium sized. We have had our unit for two and a half years, feeding and adding water regularly and we just had to have it cleaned out as it was full. They responded quickly and offered to send me a replacement. I decided to try the stainless steel option instead. I'll update again once I install the replacement. I was REALLY hoping the other reviews about the poor quality were wrong and ordered this instead of the stainless steel version because I like the small cover the pyramid shape offers. I should have gotten the steel one. Assembly was easy, digging the hole was long and arduous.
