You have to be careful when buying make-up and mascara in particular. Mascara comes so close to your eyes and old mascara has a tendency to flake when it dries and can drop flakes into your eyes. The two mascara I purchased were OLDER versions. The most recent Lancome Hypnose Drama tubes have silver writing while older versions have gold writing. Since mascara tubes don't have dates on them, it's often hard to tell if you're getting "fresh" make-up, since older make-up could cause reactions in those who may be sensitive. As a contact lens wearer, I'm concerned that these items were older because they had gold writing and didn't appear to be as "wet" as other new versions I've purchased. They didn't come "boxed", which also caused me concern as it's difficult to tell if they were "fresh" or if they had been "returned" items. I don't think I'll buy mascara off Amazon again.

"Full Body Volume" means "Thick and Clumpy". I used it a few times then gave up. I bought Elf brand for $2 to replace it, it's a lot better. Unfortunately, I bought the 2-pack to give one to my daughter. I hyped it up, telling her about all of the rave reviews. She didn't like it either. Do not believe the good reviews and do not waste your money on this item.

Like the blackness and saturation. Good purse size...as always Lancome is one of the best mascaras..can flake a little occasionally....but not a big negative.

It's a bit thicker than I realized. Always has a lot on the end of the wand to wipe off. I have allergies and it does rub off. By the end of the day I have raccoon eyes. However, if I don't have to touch my eyes, it is fine.
