Needs to be a little taller but works well

The hanger is great!Easy to assemble, good looking. I have no complaints, nor negative observations to make about it. I rated it a 5 stars on its durability; however, I only have it for a month. I presume I Shaw keep it away from excessive moist (it is wood, you know) and avoid dropping it. Is it delicate? It doesn’t look like, but I won’t put it through the test.I’m loving it, it keeps my bananas up there!!LOL

Attractive, functional, not quite tall enough

This is the second banana holder I ordered. The first one had a split by the hole where the metal hook/holder was screwed into the wood. I ordered a second one after canceling the first one. The second one has a base with non-skid feet on it and appeared to come from a different manufacturer. Of coursed both were made in China. It did not have any splits. I did bore out the holes slightly where the screws that held the vertical piece to the base because the screws were to tight in the pre-drilled holes and I did not want anything to split. Overall, this appears to be a good product. If it does happen to break, I will be able to salvage the hardware and make new wooden pieces in my workshop. Amazon was great to do business with. When I sent them a complaint, they did not require the first one to be returned.

My only dislike is that very large bananas touch the bottom while hanging. Not a big deal though, as it doesn't happen with most bananas.

I bought this product because it has a large hook for the bananas. Unfortunately, the arm of the hanger is too low, so normal sized bananas do not freely hang and lay on the bottom. Very disappointing. I do not recommend this product.

First, if I’d seen this in the store, I wouldn’t have bought it because it isn’t a walnut finish, it’s painted 5is 80s apartment building brown, & it just looks cheap. I didn’t see that when it arrived, and my husband set to putting it together for me because I could see the “screw holes” were drilled for about the size of a sewing pin, & I don’t have the hand strength to fight it. My husband had to drill the holes & use other screws because the ones that came with it had large burrs on them. Once he got it together, I saw it & as hard as he had to work to put something so simple together, I didn’t have the heart to return it. On the plus side, the ugly thing does indeed hold bananas suspended as advertised.

So happy to finally get my bananas off the countertop. They can’t be stored with other fruit in my two-tier wire basket where they would ripen too soon. I can still wrap the stems in plastic cling wrap and hang them up. Also, I have walnut cabinets (unpainted) and this stand matches them perfectly.
