Pleasantly Surprised
I was disappointed initially--the plant arrived and it was super scrawny. It has been planted for a couple of months now and it is really thriving! I have a few blooms and expect to see some peppers any day now. I love the unique color and it's a fun plant to have on the patio. I have wanted an ornamental pepper plant for a long time but always seem to look for them when they are "out of season" at Home Depot so I took a risk and purchased this one on Amazon. I'M GLAD I DID! FYI: I live in Zone 9 and planted the peppers in May. It's July now and we've had temperatures in the 100s F. I water the plant once a day and it spends a lot of time in direct sunlight. I plan to bring it indoors this winter and will put it back outside when it's warm enough at night.

Healthy, happy plant
When I initially received this plant it had some transit shock. The leaves where dry, limp, and I actually lost a few of them. I kept the plant in my house for about a week and then started taking it outside. When I received the plant it was all green with a few darker purple velvety streaks. After about two week my plant is completely black! It has 3 new fruits on it and a lot of new green growth. I'll need to better understand how to prune it to get the shape of the plant I want but overall good purchase. I've treated it with crushed aspirin and some fertilizer and have not transplanted it yet. I'm just letting it do its thing for now.

Two plants
The two plants arrived in perfect condition. I planted them in a pot. Only one survived. The plant is healthy but tall and spikey, not lush and full like others I've seen. It's only July, so maybe it will fill out.

Growing beautifully
I love this plant. I live in GA and it's growing so well. My only criticism is that it didn't come with "care" instructions.

Tall healthy plant
Shipping was faster than quoted. Plant arrived at around 5” tall and very healthy. The quality of this plant is greater then any Bonnie plants that Iv ordered along with this one.

Quality plants and good delivery
I’ve ordered this same plant from Hirt now for a number of years running. I’ve never gotten a plant from them that did not grow to be a lovely pepper plant. It is a specialized pepper I can’t find in my area so I’m glad Hirt is available. The plants are packed well for delivery. I highly recommend.
