The polisher and cleanser seemed nice. The third jar had an odd smell. I had a rash after two uses. Stopped using.

I love testing out skin care products, and I truly believe you can find effective skin care at all price points. Price should never be considered the hallmark of good skin care, as many drug store brands produce better results than high end brands sold at department stores. Having said that, Dr. Lancer skincare is spendy, and after just a few days with it, I understand why, and would encourage you to consider trying their products. The set arrived well packaged within a presentation box, and all the products were individually sealed (shrink wrap on the facial cream, and foil on the two tubes of cleansers). My first thought, honestly, was that it seemed a lot of money to pay for a tube of facial exfoliant, a small tube of cleanser, and a deluxe sample of facial cream. At this point I had high expectations of what the products must be like to get me to consider spending $$ on them again in the future. So, with that said, I pulled up Dr.Lancers’s website so I could better understand his products and how they are to be used, and the sort of results to expect with usage. Well, he has a peculiar system of having people scrub their face with the polish first, then wash their face with the cleanser, and follow with moisturizer. I just about never wear makeup, so my skin is most likely “cleaner” than someone who does, but just a general rule of thumb- make sure your face is clean before putting the facial polish on. You don’t want to be grinding makeup remnants into your pores! With that said, you really don’t need to physically scrub hard- the polish is packed with enzymes to help chemically break down the bonds of dead skin, so you are getting a manual and chemical exfoliation at the same time. Also, do not put the polish on dry skin- you need to dampen your skin first, and Dr. lancer even recommends doing this in the shower. If you follow the directions, you’ll emerge from your shower with baby soft skin! Now, I know the limitations of my skin, so after exfoliating with the polish, I had no need to also use the cleanser, but I did apply the moisturizer, and folks, it is a beautiful product. A little goes a long way, as well. I am using his cleanser in the evening, then using retinol and night cream (and eye cream), and his polish in the morning (great for exfoliating any flakes from retinol use), followed with serums and his moisturizer, then sunscreen. All three of the products in this gift set have a wonderful, light, clean scent. For anyone sensitive to scents, you should know that it is only very lightly scented. You also don’t need very much of any of the products to achieve cleanliness or moisturization. And your cheeks will feel as soft as a baby’s bottom! If you are at all on the fence, I would encourage you to try it. I can not validate any line reduction claims (the photos on his site are stupendous as far as results after a month of usage) as I’ve only been using this for a few days, but so far, I am impressed with how my skin is feeling. With the polish, only use a light touch to massage it in, as you do not want to abrade your skin (I promise, a light touch still works wonders).

This is the first time I tried Lancer skincare products, which are developed by the dermatologist Dr Lancer. I am amazed at the result in just 3 nights. I liked the fact that the product box comes with the prescribed process to remove superficial aging skin, starting with the exfoliant, then cleanser and lastly nourishing moisturizer. Furthermore, I recommend you apply it at night. The bigger tube is the exfoliant cream that is opaque and thick, that I applied after washing my face and neck with the warm water. After massaging with my fingers and palm, I cleaned my face with the water. There was no burning or irritation. As a next step, I took a small amount of clear looking, pleasant smelling foam cleanser from the smaller tube and applied it on the face and neck and after waiting for a few minutes, I cleaned the face and neck again and dried the skin by patting with a soft cotton hand towel. As a last step, I applied a very small amount of nourishing moisturizer that came in the small round container in the box, and rubbed it with my fingers all over my face and neck. It literally disappears in the skin. I find that the skin is replaced with younger looking skin that glows, and I am very pleased with the results.
