Cetaphil Face Wash, 236ml, PRO Cleansing Facial Wash, For Sensitive & Redness Prone Skin

I have just been diagnosed with rosacea on my face. Angry red lumpy cheeks when I get a flare up. This face wash has a soft foamy texture that smells lush, almost sweetie like. Washung my face now feels like I'm getting a thorough good clean without harsh chemicals stripping away the goodness. My partner has noticed a difference in the redness being reduced and the lumps less visible.

I usually react to all face products but I didn't react to this. Very gentle on the skin.

This is now my favourite face wash. I have rosacea and was looking for an alternative to trying to get a Dr appointment for a prescription. It reduces the redness and puffiness in my face really well. My skin looks the healthiest it has in years since using this and it's results were almost instant for me. I did get a couple of spots/zits when I first used it but read that this does happen as your skin adjusts so kept using it; I'm glad I did! It is a bit pricey for a face wash but if you have redness prone or rosacea skin, it is worth the investment. I also have really sensitive skin and eczema and I'm allergic to most things, but didn't react to this. I will say that it does have a very strong smell, (despite supposedly being perfume free) which I like but others may not. One thing I'm allergic to is perfumes and I don't react to this so I don't know how they scented it so strongly but kept it so gentle. I also find that it makes my face feel so clean and fresh after using it, which I love.

I've learnt that my skin is just very sensitive and I have to be careful in how I care for it just to maintain some semblance of presentability. Naturally I'm always looking for a better product and as it's marketed as being for sensitive skin and helping with redness, this seemed like a natural product. On the plus side, I liked the scent, it foamed nicely and there's no question it leaves my skin clean - the trouble is that I think it's just a bit too strong and it soon became clear that it wasn't agreeing with me. I reverted to my previous brand and things improved. I used this is in exactly the same way - the lightest possible touch etc, but it basically didn't help with the redness and arguably made my skin look worse, so I discontinued after a week. It's a very personal thing so who knows, someone with less sensitive skin may find it suits them better.

I was disappointed when I first pumped the product out because the foam was not thick or creamy. I was concerned that two pumps would not be sufficient to cleanse. Happily I was proved wrong and was impressed with the cleansing properties of this product, plus, there is no irritation whatsoever. Skin is not left feeling dry - quite the opposite feels moisturised and soft.A friend felt that on the first use her skin redness was exacerbated but she continued to use and was very pleased with the results thereafter with no further problems.

Leaves skin feeling soft and moisturised without irritating. It has a pleasant light scent. I wasn't expecting it to be a foam, but the pump action bottle supplies the right amount of foam. Performing well so far, although I haven't noticed any reduction in redness.

Please please be careful with this product if you have sensitive skin.I’ve just spent the entire weekend with a face like the elephant man.I thought it would be ok,but it must contain something that has caused this horrid allergic reaction.I would share pictures but I’m very upset.
