Shinto Saw Rasp S size - great luthier rasp for guitar body and shaping 8” (200mm)

This rasp works great. It provides quick results with minimal effort on the rougher side. The fine side provides near sandpaper smoothness.Easy to use. My grandchildren have enjoyed this tool.

Two finishing side along with the shape of the tool make it a pleasure to use.

Much easier to use than a normal American style rasp.

This is so easy to use. It also removes a ton of material very quickly and easily. Wish I'd bought it years ago.

Just purchased this rasp to supplement other wood rasps I use. Solidly built and appears to be a good addition. Specifically to reviewer comment re wanting a wooden handle, the one I received has a molded, flexible handle instead of wood as indicated. However, I use lots of woodworking hand tools and newer versions of older tools that now have molded handles are more comfortable to use and easier to grip.

This is a unique file that can aggressively but controlably shape wood. I looks rugged and functional and arrived quickly.

As many others I have used this tool to shape the neck of an electric guitar. I was reluctant to use a rasp and go old school but this thing is really fast and much easier to control than a router with huge helicopter blades. After doing one neck it looks new. I do like the less coarse side too, there is a big difference between the 2 that are in the blade but it is useful too.
