Huge Improvement in Grip and Ease of Use
The Recover Tactical Slide Rack Assist turned out to be one of the most helpful add-ons I’ve picked up. It gives you a much better grip and control when manipulating the slide, which makes the whole experience feel smoother and more comfortable. The design is solid, lightweight, and fits securely without adding bulk or getting in the way. What I really appreciate is how much confidence it gives when handling my setup. It makes routine handling easier, especially when your hands are sweaty or if you deal with stiffness or limited grip strength. The build quality is excellent, and the installation was straightforward and clean. If you want something that improves control, accessibility, and overall handling comfort, this is a great upgrade. Highly recommend for anyone looking to make their setup more user-friendly.

Fantastic Addition To My Glock
The fit was excellent on my Glock 48 MOS Series 5. Installation took -5 minutes. As someone else suggested put a bit of blue LocTite on the tip of the tiny screws just in case. This device makes pulling the slide 100% easier. It's an absolute must have for anyone with any sort of grip related issues. I'd rated it a 10 if I could.

Perfect fit for G42, great grip and stays in place.
Perfect fit on G42, will not work if you have a CrimsonTrace laser with the emitter at the top of the grip and at the margin of the slide. Big tapered ,but smooth, profile gives good grip for racking. Will not aid in racking against objects (such as car door, counter edge etc.) great grip and stays in place. well made plastic matches stock grip.

WELL WORTH THE MONEY !!!
Easy enough to fit onto a Glock 17, with the exception of having to trim up some of the plastic overlapping ends from the top piece so that the two half's would line up and be smooth to the touch. Racking the slide is now absolutely easy peezy with hardly any effort at all ! Even with severe Rumitoid Arthritis in my hands , I was able to rack the slide with "NO LIVE AMMO IN THE WEAPON AT ALL" just used DUMMY METAL SNAP CAP ROUNDS in my house at first. Drawing from a holster Israili Style racking the slide was effertless , on my belt , Jean's front and back pockets, inverted on my leg thighs, taking a knee and racking the slide off of my horizontal right ankle/calf muscle while doing a speed reload, edge of shop bench , the arm of my office chair, etc. At the range with LIVE AMMO and with propper trigger discipline, it worked flawlessly . The only reason that I gave it 4-stars was because I had to spend about 10 minutes gently trimming and lightly sanding the overlapping pieces as I already addressed. If the manufacturer ever makes these to for original 1-2 gen Springfield 9mm XD's I would buy several the day they came out !

Absolute Garbage
This is an interesting product. A little too pricey. But it’s necessary for many.. so what else can you do? In any case. Bought for G27. It did NOT fit.. even though it says it would. The slide would not come back and charge properly. I could’ve tried to sand it down a tiny bit. But didn’t think “modifying” it would be appropriate. With such an important item.. i wish it (my g27), to work the way it was intended. Im not going to stake my life on it.. in any case. I was just about to file a return request, when i tried it on my G22.. it slipped right into place and seemed pperfect. First time i racked the slide.. it came flying off.. absolute garbage.

Love it so far. No problems, but a couple of caveats
Bought this for a Gen 3 Glock 17, completely stock except for aftermarket fiber optic sights; and because at my age I'm having difficulty pinching the rear slide serrations (which ain't the best in my opinion) to pull the slide back. The fit was perfect, installation a breeze, and so is racking the slide now. I worried that the aftermarket rear sight, which extends behind the stock sight dovetail all the way to the back of the slide, would prevent installing this product. No issues at all. I recall reading (in an Amazon review) that this product interfered with reinstalling the slide after disassembly. I had no problem at all. Also recall something about the user's gun not functioning properly because of (essentially) the weight this product added to the slide. Only shot about 50 rounds with it on but I had zero issues. The product is basically feather-light; don't see how it could cause the problem described, and it makes absolutely no contact with any part of the gun but the slide.. Several folks reported the device falling off/pulling loose when they retracted the slide with it. I've yanked my slide many dozens of times. Mine stayed tight; again, not a single issue in that regard. I do have a couple of caveats for prospective buyers -- and the manufacturer. The product comes with only two screws and two nuts.... what you need, no more. Unless precautions are taken, with repeated firing of the gun, slide moving hard back and forward again many times, I'll bet one or both screws will work loose and a nut (and maybe a screw too) will fall out and be lost. The screws and especially the nuts are tiny. So, how about including at least 2 sets of screws and nuts? Doing so should add what, 2 cents, to the manufacturer's/seller's cost?? (But you DO get a free allen wrench... which, if you're like me, you can add to the collection of dozens of allen wrenches you already have in various places.) Being wary of loosening, and losing, a nut and possibly a screw too I put a dab of blue (removable) Loctite on the screws before I assembled the parts and let things set for 24 hours. I STRONGLY recommend you do too. Note that you don't want to use RED (permanent) thread lock because if you need to remove the cover on the back of the slide you'll need to take this rack-assist off. This advice to apply thread lock is NOT in the instructions that come with the product; personally I think it should be (unless I'm really doing something inadvisable by applying it). One other thing. The two pieces of this item are plastic and if you tighten the screws too much the plastic is likely to crack/break. I guess getting the screws tight enough to hold the product tight, but not so tight that the plastic breaks, is hit or miss without torque advice. (I guess that I lucked out so far.) Anyway, so far I love this product, and hope they make more that fit the slides of other centerfilre semiautos I have.
