These work great. We recently had two warehouse type buildings installed and have not had time to put seals under the roll up doors.Also, it has been too cold to do so. These "socks" do a great job of keeping out rain & snow.

They are what I expected. Similar to door snakes to prevent smoke from wafting to prying noses. I will write more when some sort of unexpected water spill requires absorption.

They did absorb water, but they are not reusable. I called the company. They could not even tell me what the insides were made from. That rather alarmed me- is this even safe? They apparently will dry, but the company told me they may no longer absorb moisture. They had no idea if they could be dried in dryer or even how well they would dry out in the air. They said - NO sun. I feel the company should have told consumers the product was not reusable. Sure - we get that if it's chemical or oil, etc., dispose! But most of us use it to block water or moisture. For the cost, they should be reusable. We had reusable ones for years that I dried in the dryer - safe, etc. I could not recall the brand so I ordered these - it was a mistake. I am sorely disappointed for $50 that I cannot even reuse them. Consumers should have been told.

It did its job. I don't believe it can absorb as much as other socks, I have since purchased from another company to see how well they hold up.

After dealing with more seepage and more mopping after several nights of heavy rains, I have had enough! Did some research and price checking as I always do before buying any product, I found what I was looking for.... Yep, I'm that excited about these because they do what the info says it does!! No BS about it :)Anyhow, These absorbent socks are GREAT! I was very surprised just how much water it stopped from coming in. It caught the leaking/seepage at point of where the water comes in after a heavy rain. No more mopping! At this time, I cannot afford to have a company come in and waterproof my downstairs area. These are the next best thing!Once they do their job you just hang them to dry, If they are soaking WET, Place in the washer on the spin cycle, then hang to dry. These did the trick. After removing basement carpet left by previous owner I was able to find all the nice little places where water gets in. This of course after a monster rainstorm. I ordered these and put them in all those spots. After another big rainstorm I then found a couple of these soggy tubes and no mess. Hung them outside to dry after. That's it. Easy and clean.

I have the right size to suck up the water

The Sorbent Sock is used for keeping my garage floor dry in the winter. After a trip from the snowy ground outside, large amount of water will drip from underneath my car and the tires, flooding/wetting my garage floor. The socks are meant to keep the floor dry with minimal hassle. They worked to my satisfaction.
