Weber 6553 Premium Cover for Weber Q-300 Grill

Well...its raining outside. I finally had to use my cover. Nice! Fits like a charm, covers down to the wheels, even the tank. Made of vinyl so should be water proof? Give you my update tomorrow. The top handle is a plus for removal, and makes the BBQ look like a class operation. Gets two thumbs way up! The thumbs are still up! I said I would do the rest of the review after it stopped raining. We had .65 inches in less than 24 hrs. What I found was only a couple of drops inside the cover, indeterminate as to where the drops came from. The verdict- (drum roll please) excellent cover, keeps it clean during the summer, the birds from trying to build nests on top, and reasonably dry, I would not subject this cover to a whole winter in the open, still bring it under cover. How much did you spend on that barbcue?? Good cover for the money.

Good cover that fits well. We especially like that we can leave the side tables up when the grill is covered. Only used it for a few weeks now, but hasn't blown away or off. To update we got this in 2012 and here we are mid summer 2013: we've had some crazy storms, and the cover will get a gust of wind under it and one time it did almost lift completely off - the next storm it did come off. We now leave a wooden chair leaning against the grill, or if we are going to be gone for awhile, we tie twine around the bottom to fit it better to the grill. Could use some built in string or elastic to make it stay put! Outside of that, has protected grill thru the winter on an open balcony and all the pollen this spring!

It fits the Q300 & Q320 nicely. Heavey weight. the vinyl is stiff in the winter, but that actually helps putting it on. There are two pin-holes through the cover at a couple of the intersections of where it was folded to fit into the packaging (not enough for me to worry about). The side tables of the grill have to be folded for the cover to fit on, but I was aware of that before I purchased it. I like the smaller storage footprint, although our cats would prefer more area to sit on. They aren't allowed to vote on matters such as this. As a side note pertaining to the Q300/320 grill, pegs to hang cooking tools are on the ends of each folding side table. The tools have to be removed to fold the tables. I bought three double robe hooks Stanley Home Designs V8007 3-Inch Basic Double Robe Hook, Oil Rub Bronze intended to be used on the back of the interior doors of a bedroom or bathroom & mounted these to the front of the grill base so that I can leave the tools hung-up under the cover. Added 3/28/2013: It blew off of the grill yesterday. I wouldn't have believed it before, just because the fit is so snug, and I store it up against the siding on the house. I'm going to set in a couple of brass grommets and use either velcro or a small bungee cord to hold it on.

This is the perfect cover for either the Weber Q-300 or the Weber Q-320 grill. I have read several prior reviews here where people are stating that they are not sure whether or not this grill will fit the Weber Q-320 grill since the item description only mentions the Weber Q-300 grill for this cover. Well, whomever is writing these descriptions is not doing a very thorough job b/c the Weber 2011 Premium Catalog (on page 14 and page 74) specifically says in it that this grill cover fits the Weber Q 300 series grills. At this time there are only two models that are Weber Q 300 series grills and they are the Weber Q-300 & Weber Q-320. One other thing to mention here is that these two grills are the same exact grill, except that the Weber Q-320 has 3 additional features that the Weber Q-300 does not have: 1) electronic ignition, 2) warming rack, 3) "One Grill Out" handle light. Besides those 3 additional features these two grills are identical, so it should seem like common sense that this cover will fit both Weber Q 300 series grills.

Unlike other products with more specifications, it's hard to come up with a long review for a grill cover. However, I would like to address the following questions: 1. Does the cover adequately protect the grill from rain, snow, and other such elements? 2. Is the cover durable? 3. Are there any glaring oversights with the cover's design? To answer the first question, yes. The Weber 6553 Premium Cover has endured several serious rain storms and has kept the grill (Weber Q320 - yes it fits) perfectly dry. With my previous grill, I purchased a cheap and low quality cover. When the wind blew just right, it would actually lift the cover off the grill. Not good, especially when it was raining. The Weber 6553 seems to be a thicker and heavier material. Here in Texas, it tends to rain a LOT more during the spring. I purchased the cover in June, so it has not yet been subjected to torrential downpour. When it passes or fails this test, I will certainly update the review accordingly. Second, the cover is very durable. The material is thick and would be very difficult to tear. With the grill's location, there is late afternoon exposure to the sun. This has not weakened the material to any observable degree. Third, I have found the design of the Weber 6553 to be adequate. A couple of changes that might be helpful would be velcro straps and a slightly increased length. However, as previously discussed, the material is relatively thick and heavy, and I have had no problems with the cover being blown off by the wind. As mentioned in other reviews, the wheels are left uncovered. However, with the bottom of the grill being almost entirely plastic, I don't see rust as being an issue. Therefore, this is a limitation I can live with. In summary, the Weber 6553 Premium Cover is a great investment for the Weber Q300 or Q320. It may cost a few dollars more, but it's worth the extra quality and protection.

Bought this cover for our Weber Q-320 which we have on the patio of our 8th floor condominium. Initially was very impressed with the cover as the material felt to be of very good quality, and it seemed to fit the grill perfectly. Two days after first putting the cover on, I went to go fire up the grill to make some steaks. To my surprise, the cover was gone! No sign of it anywhere. A day later, a friendly neighbor returned it to me, and I figured the wind must have blown it off of the grill. So this time, I put the grill cover back on, but this time, placed a brick on top to hopefully prevent this from happening again. Imagine my surprise when, a week later, I woke up to find the grill cover gone, again! The brick had fallen to the patio floor, and cover was gone. And this time, it wasn't returned, so I ended up having to buy a replacement, which is securely jimmy-rigged with a couple of bungee cords and the same brick. So while overall, I would say I am pleased with the grill cover, I do wish there was some type of velcro or securing mechanism at the bottom of the grill. Since the grill cover does not reach the floor, it is very easy for wind to get caught in the grill cover and lift it right off the grill like a parachute - which has now happened to me twice. The fact that our 8th floor corner patio does get above average wind probably doesn't help, but I would expect this grill cover to be able to withstand that. In any case, it's a fine grill cover, just be advised if you happen to live in a windier area.

I should have bought this when I first got my grill. I've gone through many of those cheap ones but this one will last for years. Love it! After reading some of the other reviews I just want to add that my cover doesn't have that mesh opening that some people mentioned. My cover fits great and comes down to the ground...not touching it but pretty close. It's also very heavy so I don't think it can be blown off as some people were concerned that it didn't have Velcro fasteners. I particularly like the handle at the top that makes it easy to remove and cover the grill.

A COMPANY CALLED (COVERS&ALL) WILL MAKE A CUSTOM GRILL COVER FOR ABOUT $55.00. WITH A HIGHER QUALITY MATERIAL!! THEY SPECIALIZE IN CUSTOM COVERS FOR JUST ABOUT ANYTHING YOU NEED! Super! Le produit idéal et à la dimension de mon BBQ. La précédente (achetée en jardinerie) n'était pas adaptée, malgré les affirmation du vendeur. Elle a quand même résisté au soleil et aux intempéries durant 7 bonnes années. Cela reste la qualité WEBER.

I am very happy with the item but was very disappointed that I had to pay £12.00 customs duty on top of the cost of the item. I could have bought this item from a local garden centre for a lot less. It would be a good idea to advise customers that they would have to pay duty

Die Weber Abdeckhaube passt 100% auf meinen Q300; da beutelt nix sondern alles sitzt perfekt, eben massgeschneidert ! Praktisch ist die oben angebrachte Schlaufe mit der die Haube mit einem Griff leicht abgezogen werden kann. Das Material ist wasserabweisend, so kann der Grill auch draußen stehen bleiben und man spart sich das "aus-dem Keller-raus-in-den Keller-rein" Geschleppe ;-) Ich denke auch, dass man an der Abdeckhabe lange Freude haben wird, da das Material einen sehr stabilen Eindruck macht. Alles in allem, kann ich die Haube jeden Weber Grill Besitzer wärmstens empfehlen. Das Ding ist seinen Preis wert !

I only have the covers a few weeks yet so I cannot rate their longevity. However they fit and look great and the quality appears to be quite good.
