I love that this cake has NO chemicals, artificial colors and flavors. It's very light on flavor, so I added a little vanilla extract and it was perfect. Since it's light on flavor, that makes it more versatile and you can add ripe bananas or apples. If you'd rather not play with the batter, I would suggest that you make the frosting the star of the show and no one will notice its not chemical yellow cake.
