This book was thoughtfully written in a way that is easy to read and from the perspective of a new father. The relatability to the author really helped me find ways to bring the knowledge and statistics from the book and find practical ways to use them for my own son. Would recommend this to all new fathers or fathers to be.

This book isn't a theology of parenting, or anything comprehensive. It's really just an argument for raising boys through their teenage in particular in a way that provides mentorship, structure, and taps into their innate sense of purpose. I think this would be a great read for someone who is looking for a theory or starting point in guiding their son into adulthood.

Man this book is awesome!! Be ready for the gut punches and be honest with yourself while reading the book. To become an intentional Father to your children and be the father God has called you to be!!

I'm a youth pastor and a son. I read this book to see how it would fare as a resource for the parents of the students in my care. I think every father of a son in my group needs this book. YPs need more parents who are as intentionally invested in their sons, our ministries would thrive in such a culture.As a son, I see a number of the good things my father did commended but if he had this research and this path what a different adolescence I would have had.
