Love the ceramic grill as my cats like to lie in front of heater on cold nights. Metal grills become hot and can burn children/animals. One feature this heater has that my other did not is that it has an on/off button so I don't have to cycle through the temperatures to turn it off. The electric cord is almost 7 feet long making it easy to use in any size room. It comes with most of the cord wound underneath the heater. I keep only 4 feet unwrapped to plug into the wall. The heater heats up fast and maintains a constant temperature as it cycles in accordance to the temperature set on top. We have two of these in our 600 sq ft living area and were warm when temp dropped to 6 degrees outside. Am buying my third one today for another room. If people are having plug problems, it may be because they have too many appliances on their circuit.
