The brushes are soft and feel very comfortable on my skin. I had no irritations. It is easy to clean them and they still feel great afterwards. I love the blush brush and smokey eye brush. I used other brushes before which either ruined my blush due to too hard brushes or the blush would be all over my face. This set comes with 12 brushes - everything you need as a non professional. I use almost all of them on a daily basis or for a night out. The only little contra is, that this set doesnt come with a brush bag or a box. Big plus (besides the brushes themselves) is a little booklet with pictures of all the brushes and an explanation how to use them.
