EGO POWER+ Leaf Blower, Cordless Electric 615 CFM, Battery and Charger Not Included - LB6150

I have a gas powered backpack blower. I never thought a handheld, battery, leaf blower would be much use. I got this for my boys (7.5 & 9) so they could blow leaves and walnuts off the driveway in the fall. We have a tree that overhangs the driveway and during the fall it drops enough stuff on the driveway that they can't use their skateboards, scooters, and other wheeled toys. Even bicycling can be tough. So I thought this would be a good thing for them to use to clear the driveway. I was right about that part. It's lightweight, powerful, and easy enough to use and control that my 7.5 year old can clear the driveway in minutes. He loves it and they both love having a clear driveway. I was really impressed with how well this thing did with leaves and walnuts. At least as good as my gas backpack unit, although I don't think it's as comfortable for jobs that stretch into hours. What I was wrong about was this being of much use outside the one task. This thing is amazingly useful. The dial setting that lets you pick a specific flow/volume means you can set it to a very low setting and use it to blow out the garage without making a mess. My gas unit has a similar lock but it's nowhere near as precise so it makes blowing out the garage a challenge. This thing gets my garage clean in just a couple of minutes. But what really impressed me is what it can do in the snow. I have an ATV with a plow for my driveway but my walkways, about 200 feet of them, are made of old brick. They're uneven, lopsided and it's genuine misery to shovel them. You get about 1 foot before the shovel catches on a brick and, if you're not careful, wrenches your wrists and shoulders. So, during the first snowfall this year I decided, on a whim, to see what this thing could do. The results were nothing short of amazing! So far I've cleared walkways with up to 4 inches of snow on them. It's not any faster than shoveling but there's no bending over or lifting so it's much easier on my 56-year old back. It also doesn't catch on uneven bricks. I did find that I had to develop a technique, especially for deeper or harder-packed snow. You let the nozzle touch the ground about three feet in front of you and work it towards you and side-to-side at the same time. This blows off about 80% of the snow. Then you go over the same spot, working away from you and side-to-side to get the remaining 20%. Walk forward to the edge of what you've cleared and repeat. It takes me about 2.5 batteries (mix of 2.5A and 5A) to clear everything but it's so much easier and less frustrating than shoveling. I know my gas powered blower can't do this, in part because the nozzle can't be made to touch the ground. If you're on the fence about getting one of these get off the fence. This thing is amazing!

This is an excellent leaf blower. Performs well and powerful enough to handle the toughest leaf blowing jobs. I like the fact that the output is adjustable as you don’t always need a strong blast of air for small cleanup jobs. Most of the weight is in the battery which holds a charge for a reasonably long time and is easily charged. A good purchase at a reasonable price.

The EGO Power+ Leaf Blower says it all in its name - "POWER". I do have a EGO mower and an EGO trimmer and they all work great. The advantage I have is that they all came with batteries and so I have backups. This Leaf Blower works so well. It has a great trigger mechanism and it simply does the job and does it so well. We don't have a large property but in the past I had a backpack, gas powered blower, and I think this is more powerful and certainly easier to use. Go Get Yourself One - you'll be happy with it.

I use this with the larger 6 amp batteries that came with my Ego mower. It makes the blower a bit heavier, but also gives extra run time, and the balance is good so I have no problem using it for the 20 minutes or so it takes to clear my yard of leaves. I like the variable speed trigger switch that gives excellent control over air flow for clearing around shrubs and mulched areas without blowing mulch into my grass. I have yet to use the "turbo" button - the regular air flow has been fine for clearing leaves. Perhaps it will be useful for clearing snow off my walks and driveway in the winter.

Great for general cleanup, as well as leaves. Good battery life. Not as powerful as a gas unit, but much more convenient and easy to use, especially for small jobs.

Absolutely stellar product. The power is impressive. One of the best purchases I've made on Amazon. If there were 10 stars - I'd give it without hesitation.

Until now, I always used a Toro corded blower. Besides the annoying cord, I was most annoyed about the TOO powerful blower setting as I would clean up my landscaping. Sometimes you want to corral the leaves in one area, so you can scoop up easily, not necessarily launch a tornado of leaves and make a bigger mess. This EGO battery powered blower is PERFECT because you can hit the turbo button to blast some leaves from a matted, stuck wet pile, or clean up my driveway on low to neatly pile the leaves. If you already have an EGO trimmer, the same battery fits this so you don't need to purchase another one. Did the entire backyard and still had plenty of power left. Great purchase

The technology in this machine delivers in spades. Lots to like. Some other wireless machines have lower Volt battery systems that can disappoint but here you have a very high energy battery that is able to deliver significant power and run time. The next great feature is you can power it by the usual method of finger on the trigger or by the relaxing roller switch set to the variable speed of your choice with an additional boost feature. This blower is as effective as my petrol Stihl blower. EGO have a range of different tools using their batteries. Also worth checking out their strimmer with power motor wind on cable.

Great quality, I have EGO snow blower, EGO mower and now EGO leaf blower. GREAT quality, very strong, worth every penny, battery life is fantastic.

This leaf blower is incredibly powerful and handles wet leaves with ease, which is a huge plus. However, one thing to consider is that it does feel a bit heavy to use for extended periods.

Another Ego item added to my collection. Best battery powered tools in my opinion. Worked far better than expected. Easily rounded up very wet leaves and other detritus in a very controlled way.
