Review: Great heater but I should have measured the height to windshield as it does not fit my side by side. So it is mounted on the floor. Review: Works great! I used it in the Ranger for heat and keeping the windshield clear (with a dual adjustable fan). Puts out a LOT of heat making it very comfortable inside for a lot less money than aftermarket heaters in both cost and time. As far as safety, I felt there was plenty of fresh air getting into the Ranger because it is not that tight with the soft doors and other areas for leakage, but I did have the tip out windshield if needed. Pointed back as shown it does not overheat the dash and the heat rose well before the seat back so it does not damage the seat. I recommend this heater! Enough for a round of golf. **Q: Does it have a tilt/tip shut-off? is it infrared radiant, only 4000 btu, with 1 setting? i am ok w/4000 btu, am using it in large well ventilated tent** A: Does have a tilt top shutoff - it is propane fired radiant heat. I use mine in my Mule while plowing and it is extremely warm. **Q: Does it come with propane?** A: Mr Heater does not come with propane. You buy the bottles separately at sporting goods or Hardware stores. **Q: will this heat up a mini van effectively?** A: Never thought about that but it does heat up a golf cart fast and have some friends us it at their deer blind. But would need to build some kind of holder to keep it stable. I had to configure it in the golf cart to be more stable for the tension springs do not keep it stable enough. Not sure how you would do in a SUV. I guess you could.
