NRSVCE, Illustrated Catholic Bible, Leathersoft, Black, Comfort Print: Holy Bible

This Bible is gorgeous, and I absolutely love the space available for notes, as well as the single column text. Dimensions are just right for carrying it around, it’s very lightweight, and the cover is pretty durable. The pictures are very unique—adding much life to the text—and I find the NRSV translation to read nicely. There are some maps and cross references at the end, but if you are looking for a Bible abundant in footnotes, this isn’t the one for you. I have no issue looking to the internet for context, so I didn’t mind. Also, the pages are very very thin, so notes are only possible if using pencil, pen will easily bleed through. Overall, this Bible is unique and aesthetically pleasing with fairly large text (easy on the eyes). I included an example of what the typical page looks like, and my hand for size reference.

This is such a beautiful bible. I love everything about it. The beautiful details, the ribbon bookmarks, the soft leather, it’s even better than I expected. There’s even a gold pattern on page edges. I love that it has space for making notes or drawings and that the space is unlined. The illustrations are wonderful. It really reminds me of a modern version of an illuminated manuscript. I love it so much and I’m so glad I decided to get it!

As a Catholic returning to the Church, I noticed I did not have a bible in the house. This Bible exceeded every expectation. If you're looking for a Catholic Bible that’s both visually stunning and practical for everyday use, this edition is an outstanding choice. It’s one of the finest Bibles I’ve owned.

This is beautiful. Love the illustrations chosen. They are from old woodcuts. This feels like a treasure that the WORD should be.

absolutely stunning bible, the details of the cover, gold edged pages, and artwork inside are all so beautiful. the single column format makes for easy reading and the wide margins are a nice touch if writing in notes is desired. it could pass for a premium bible. i am very happy with it.

My wife kept saying she wanted a Bible. Okay, a great husband won’t make a fuss but just makes sure she has it. Beautiful Bible! Well crafted, beautiful leather with gold lettering. Bought it as a gift for my wife. Still sitting in the box under the foot of the bed. I guess she didn’t want that one or any Bible in general.

I purchased two of these Bibles for my twin niece’s baptism and I absolutely love the quality and images in them I’m debating getting myself one! So adorable!
