Good product
For five chickens, the water lasts a while. Cleaning is getting easier. I wait until its empty and unscrew the cups. Lining it up to put it back, also getting easier. I think the inside gets dirty than I thought it would.

Works great
Works great. Have 6 hens and only have to fill it every few days. Have not had it during freezes so might need to update the review.

Unnecessary Crap and Limited Access
This is a good product but I wish it came in a larger size, both in terms of gallons and in terms of how many cups. The stickers plastered all over the product proclaim that you can add more cups, but where? how? good luck adding a cup without tearing up the container and the plastic breaking. Also had a problem with the first (I have 3 now) when we had a freeze and the cup would't quit leaking afterwards. Other brands with different style of cups (such as rent a coop automatic waterer) did not have any problem even though they are much older than the Harris Farms product. It would also be nice if you got an extra cup with the product (again, Rent a Coop provides 5 cups with its product so you always have an extra. Not having reliable water for the chickens is really not acceptable but when the cup leaks like that, you lose all the water quickly and then your chickens don't have any water). My main complaint is the stickers. I already bought it - why do you need to glue huge stickers on each side? And why do you glue them on? If you really think it necessary to put something on the container, how about a plain piece of paper fastened with one piece of tape? The user doesn't want to leave the stickers on because they get filthy and then its impossible to clean, but it shouldn't take 30+ min to remove the darn things!

Simple and functional
This is actually the second time we purchased this for our chickens. First one broke due to a freeze while we were out of town. We were a little worried the birds would struggle to learn to use this after using a gravity style waterer for so long. We were wrong, the bird brains actually figured it out fine. We have a total of 8 birds and we fill it up once a week. Depending on who fills it up and closes the lid depends on how often it needs to be cleaned. For the most part it stays pretty clean. The cups were easy to thread in and we’ve never had to replace them. This style of waterer is perfect for your back yard chickens.

Needs a different cup!
Expensive and the chickens could not figure out the toggle. Going to try replacement cups that automatically fill up without the toggle. The chicken beaks are too small to hit it consistently. Hopefully the new cups work. But now disappointed that I have spent over $100 on a chicken waterer that will hopefully work. Way too much $.
