Q: Does this have excel , word or office already installed or do you have to purchase these separately ?

Microsoft products like Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc absolutely do work on chromebooks. I have been a Chromebook user for years and have a office 365 subscription that allows me to access all of those programs without any issues. Chromebooks do come with Google's own software installed that works well. But it is entirely wrong to say Microsoft products do not work with Google. I love Chromebooks, all are fast, easy to use and just get the job done.
